Re: RSG Confirmed to publish Dodonpachi Resurrection in Europe.
This is what shitted me off with stores here in Australia having no idea about them selling Deathsmiles because it wasn't Call of Duty. I told JB Hifi I'd asked them about it a month beforehand and they were just like "well we only found out about it when we got it last night". Not to mention the faces they gave me either, FPS supremacists.Zeron wrote:Sumez wrote:You're seriously annoyed about having to wait 2-3 days extra for a game that's already been over a year on its way?

Glad to hear you guys are doing your best to avoid *that* happening again though.

I was surprised that you could buy deathsmiles at jbhifi and gametraders at all. Sin and Punishment 2 for wii wasn't officially released in australia though and jbhifi still imported it.BPzeBanshee wrote:This is what shitted me off with stores here in Australia having no idea about them selling Deathsmiles because it wasn't Call of Duty. Yeah, it's odd eh. GAME did it for Deathsmiles too but I didn't trust them because the staff were relying on their website which I already knew had nothing but "Deathsmiles for sale gimme $65 and preorder now cause we cant be assed to actually get excess stock for it". They didn't even have so much as a picture.
I don't blame the publishers one bit but that kind of appearance for selling just puts alarm bells in my head like African people sending emails for some "lottery" I have to pay to unlock. Maybe this time around it'll be easier because the front cover doesn't look nearly as close to pedo as what Deathsmiles did.

Believe it or not the first store in Sweden to stock Daifukkatsu is GAME

What's funny is that the preorder prices from UK based sellers like play.com are higher than that what Amazon.de charges: http://www.amazon.de/Rising-Star-DoDonP ... 734&sr=8-1
Usually it's the other way round. Anyway let's wait for Zavvi, The Hut and the likes to open preorders.

Interesting. Guess I'll order from Amazon.de if Shopto can't beat their price either.
I won't get any special German cover or something, will I? As far as I remember, DS was the same international release for everyone.

Re: RSG Confirmed to publish Dodonpachi Resurrection in Europe.
Guys, the game is playable at Gamescom in Köln in Germany.
I highjacked (:p) a french elive stream about KOFXIII (also published by RSG) to ask a question, here it goes :
Squattage du stream Elive de BGP/Frionel sur KOFXII chez RSG à la GamesCom de Cologne>
Shin_K: is the leaderboard replay shared with the jp version ? (unlike deathsmiles)
answer>we don't know yet, it's difficult, but we will try.
at least I tried, hopes at not up ^^

Oh, thanks for the DFK highjack and asking that question! I asked about shared leaderboards a couple months ago and there seemed to be technical difficulties, so very happy to hear they're trying

Re: RSG Confirmed to publish Dodonpachi Resurrection in Europe.
If they got a European localization ready and playable, why are they waiting three months to release it?
Or are they just bringing the Japanese version?

Re: RSG Confirmed to publish Dodonpachi Resurrection in Europe.
from what I got it's getting translated at least in english.
I TRIED to got through to them about the whole Ketsupachi Arrange mode thing, but they answered about on disc content and BL and 1.51 paid DLC. (plus the french guys there, doing the interview are (very) knowlegable only about fighting games (Frionel is top 3 european KOF player I think) so they didn't have a clue about what I really meant)
the guy from RSG STRESSED that the publishing projects are picked up on a one game at a time deal basis and that they choose project a lot based on feedback on their forums.
so yeah, go register and claymore for Akai Katana and Raiden IV
(Ketsui and DOJ are prolly too hardcore and oldschool to be even considered)

We know BL Arrange is unlikely at this point according to word of god (Torisu on the forums a few days ago), and yeah, much as I'd love to be able to play DOJ and Ketsui on a 360 again, they look a lot more unlikely still
(Emulated old games published by someone else? Oh my!)

There's no way they'd release it at retail untranslated (at least to English). In fact, I think it's actually a prerequisite.

honesty the 360 is dying pretty bad in japan right now, you might find bargain bin bundles for less than 10000JPY, so you guys should consider a jp system more than ever.

You could probably buy a 2nd hand PC for less than £100 that could emulate those 2 games perfectly. Cheaper than buying a JPN 360.

Or rather, us guys should wait until they get bargained to death and THEN buy oneShin wrote:you might find bargain bin bundles for less than 10000JPY, so you guys should consider a jp system more than ever.
I already got ONE jap X360 game that I can't play because I don't have the console, hehe.

A sub £100 2nd hand PC would be better overall for emulation.

Am I the only one who finds it funny that we're now having a talk on how to best emulate games right here in this particular thread?
