Gemini Wing Conversions

Post by mjclark »

I've just been playing a version of Gemini Wing for x68k and I was wondering if there were any more modern conversions of it.
Of course the ship makes notable appearances in Xeno Fighters and GwangeDash (roll on high score thread) but what about modern conversions of the entire game like Siter Skain did with Alltynex to Alltynex Second?

Other conversions?

Well, Wikipedia doesn't have any direct article for it but searching for it implies a

- ZX Specturm
- Amiga
- Amstrad CPC
- NEC PC98

port of such. I can't imagine them being all that great though, nor do I consider that reliable since while finding that I found that apparently Imagitec Design made Gemini Wing and Raiden, which is quite bullshit assuming they're talking originals and not the shit conversions.

But if you find a modern version of it, do tell. I'd love to take down a modern Green Walrus with my ping-pings. :D

Yeah- I was surprised there was no Wikipedia page for GW.
Not sure if PC98 version exists either but I'm making enquiries :D
You think there'd at least be some doujin clones eh?

Well, if you're going for conversions for old machines... there was also an MSX version. WHich was basically a direct port from the Spectrum version.
