"Dead Point"
"Kovalsky"
Not unlike Prong doing... things to Killing Joke. You know, things. Also, the "English" lyrics. To quote Bob Dylan:
P.S. Aso, THIS. Guitar music in general still didn't reek of exhumation back then.Play fucking loud.

Awesome song! It's one of those songs that gives me goose bumps every time I hear it! It also reminds me of high school, and how long ago that was.
Dude, I totally feel the same way. There's so much energy being released in this song, it's incredible. Adrenaline FTW!It's one of those songs that gives me goose bumps every time I hear it!
I'm 22, so it's been three or four years since I last set foot in a high school classroom. Honestly, I've changed so much since then that those memories don't feel like my own, but more like from someone else's life. But my appreciation for the Deftones hasn't changed, thankfully. I remember my parents confiscating the album because they thought it was "impure", so I got up early one morning, went to the tech lab at school and downloaded their discography via Limewire (lol), and burned it to discs. Good times. It also reminds me of high school, and how long ago that was.
brings back fond memories from 8th and 9th gradeSiren2011 wrote: Pirates of Dark Water (intro) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNjsRgjTZ0M (Best quality I could find, sadly.)
I really haven't listened to much of their stuff after Around the fur; heard a bit and didn't like the direction they were going.Siren2011 wrote:Dude, I totally feel the same way. But White Pony (Back to School and Digital Bath in particular) reminds me of high school most. Sadly, I don't get excited about much in the way of music these days, though I am certainly open minded to passionate, unique sounding bands. Like these guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jT31SnpJ0o. The band is called Kaddisfly and, no joke, I was best friends with the lead guitarist's younger brother for years. And oddly enough, he was the one whom I discovered Deftones from. He showed me "7 Words" on the school's computer, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Dude, I totally understand. I liked Korn's "Follow the Leader" album, as well as Disturbed (hangs his head in shame), Creed (muscles lock up in anguish), and even Brittany Spears, J-Lo and Nelly. (shudders). But yeah, if given the choice to get into a time machine and kick my middle school self's ass, I'd do it in a heartbeat. It's kind of funny looking back to those years and the stuff I listened to compared to what I listen to now. A lot of the stuff I liked then I would be embarrassed to listen to now.
Limp Bizkit... booed pretty hard!!
Helmet also opened, but they rocked!!
Your 90's comment reminded me of seeing this song on channel MAX's "90's One-hit Wonders":Siren2011 wrote:Everclear - Amphetamine - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI1IC19r ... re=related
^One of the best songs from the 90s right there.
It's about "realizing their actuality." And judging by the look on Jane's face, she's realized it a couple of times already.
I take it you haven't read the Majora's Mask creepypasta going around...Siren2011 wrote:Holy shit, that actually sounds really good!
