DOJ is actually surprisingly fun with a steering wheel because it seems more responsive to it. Went all the way to st4 and while much harder, it's still playable
I suppose this could go here.. I just finished working on a video going over TATE for newbies (no one here of course, but I know there are lots of people out there on YouTube that may have never considered it): http://youtu.be/9jr_p25DzLM

We totally need more videos like these.
I should also mention that TATEd monitors are still being used today commerically in the form of advertisement screens at airports and within some shops. I went to a small shop within one of the many suburbs of my town and spotted a rotated 16:9 LCD screen on the counter just looping ads for featured products.

Thanks man! That's some cool information there too that would have made for a nice little bit near the end.
Great video on tate, but I think you forgot to mention that you need to wait for a CRT to degauss before turning it on. Otherwise the colours are super screwy, and may cause some people to panic, thinking they have messed up their tv. You can prolly just mention it in the comments. Other than that I say find an appropriate place to tack it on in the hardware section as well.
Great delivery, too. Too often I find videos where someone's trying to demonstrate something, but their voice is mumbled and uninspired or over-exaggerated to the point I can't take it seriously.

Literally, yeah. IT's much weirder than I thought of other shmups I've been playing to. The gameplay is weird either and obscure (as I said in the Magmax HS thread), but I got used to it anyway.
