Shmups with warning signs.....

Post by postman »

What are all the shooters that use the "WARNING: A huge boss is approaching fast" bar when approaching bosses?

I can think of

Darius series
Ikaruga
DonPachi
Super Yagabata 2

But I know there are more...........
Don't just dodge bullets, dance around them.

I can only think of the generic "warning!" sign of Giga Wing 2

Don't forget Silvergun. Blazing Star does all kinds of warning messages too.

Nanostray does it.

Radiant Silvergun has the best warning signal out of every shooter I've played, though.

The Raiden Fighters games display a warning in the large boss stages.

I like this one the most for some reason, maybe it's the voice. I really like the announcer's voice. :P

The obvious one is Warning Forever. :P

Warning Forever

As you can guess by the title, the whole game is a play on the Warning-sign clichee in shooters with a continuous series of boss battles.

XII Stag has a WARNING banner that comes up around Boss time.
1944, 1943, and 1943 Kai all have something similar.

My favorite is Chaos Field's "CAUTIONS". I like the way it kind of syncs with the music, setting the mood - and the music kicks ass in that game.
