Our shmup - VIGDP1

Hello ppl.

I'm new in this forum and I want to show you a shooter than me and my friend jae686 did to Inercia2004 demo party. It came 1.º in the gamedev compo :D .

Ok, it works like this:
Use the mouse to move the ship and press the right button to fire. Very Simple :P .
Unfortenatly, it will only work for pcs with pixel shaders 2 since I didn't had time to impelemnt a fallback.

In this year it will happen a new Inercia event, the Inercia2005, that is one month ahead. We will present a new shmup for the gamedev compo, this time is a lot better than last one (it has a fallback for older hardware, its already implemented :P ).

Could you by any chance post a video of it running in action that first zip file link seems down.


screens shots look interesting reminds me of pysvaria 2 level 1 where you meet the first boss going up the tower.

i got it to run in 640 480 60hz, but the game was out of sync with screen update, so the whole thing was flickering like crazy.
