So, just got DeathSmiles

I FINALLY got Deathsmiles! I have been wanting this game now for over 2 years, and I found it at Gamestop today for $17.99, pretty sweet deal.

Anyway I'm just super excited to try it, I have been playing Mushi Black Label forever now its nice for a change.

Is this game harder? I hear its pretty insane, and are the controls simple? Any tips would be appreciated!

Make sure to download the latest patch. The initial version has less slowdowns than it's supposed to.

The game only gets crazy in Death Mode (pick Rank 3 five times, I think?) and if you play MBL Rank 999. Overall, Futari Black Label is harder.

I'd recommend playing a lot of Deathsmiles Arcade before moving onto MBL. It took me a while to get into the scoring, but now that I have I consider it one of Cave's best. MBL may be initially more attractive, but IMO Arcade is the better game.

And yeah, if you're so excited just play the game already. Download the patch first, and after a couple of games I'd suggest you check out EOJ's guide on Cave-STG. There's a really valuable enemy chart, and if you didn't read the manual, then the scoring info will help you a lot too.

It's probably the easiest Cave game ever IMO. Doesn't make it not fun though. One of my favorites.
