I was absent frm this forum since a long time so i wanna say the last shmup i was playing
2 weeks ago i was playing this great shmup!!!



is like darius and raystorm. The enemies, lasers and space stage reminds me Raystorm.
but is horizontal shmup.

was a lot of fun playing this not easy game
but i was able to finish it.

I too have been playing Border Down, just started.
It's growing on me and I'm just about ready to see beyond the 3rd stage. Kick ass music and presentation so far.
Also, TwinBee here and there still.

Edit: Whoa, stage 4 got serious in BD.

Yep, i felt the same when i reached stage 4
i remember 1st time i reached the red border.....lost temple.
Im not sure, but i guess in other borders are better....the big space ship the music the lasers beams

and if I remember well..the 3rd stage boss is awesome ( this boss appear in 2 borders)....sure you enjoyed too.

Still can't get enough of Mushihimesama Futari Black Label original. I think, I'll be done with it for a while when I finally manage to beat Anesthetizes record, hehe. Then, it's probably BL Maniac... ^^

Nice doujin game indeed, cool presentation and has a good "feel" to it.

Then some DoDonPachi and DDP DOJ (BL) in MAME. I really start digging those games. Especially DDP. I had some kind of "epiphany" 2 weeks ago, playing Mushi. I popped in DDP and voilà: managed to get to Stage 4 on 1 Credit, something that never happened before (stage 3 was my wall back then).

Yeah, and the occasional pork-kick and some Deathsmiles, if I need a change.

Edit: oh, and I forgot: Strania, of course.

Just downloaded the Strania demo. Seems pretty fun. I'll probably buy the full game in the next few days. Otherwise, I've just been playing a credit or two of whatever suits my mood at the time. Not playing anything seriously atm.

Perfected first three stages for the first time; not too bad w/the Stage 3-Bay boss. Stage 3-School is a bitch, especially the boss, but from what I can tell it's much better for score. Like, at least 1 million more points if you no-miss kind of "better". Gonna need to practice.

And I'm playing lots of Mad Shark tonight too.

Last time I was playing Mad Shark about a month ago it gave me carpel tunnel and I couldnt pick up a pad for about a week. So im gonna stag away from this game atleast untill I can find a version of mame with a slower autofire thats more akin to the speed ppl tap the fire button.

Ive never had a repetative stain injury before then and although my hand feels fine now im scared that it will be much easier injure my hand further if I go back to tapping them buttons faster then a blind mans stick

Pink Sweets Arrange: Finally made it to Stage 7! Stage 5 boss give me all sorts of headache, I need a better strategy for it.

Dragon Blaze: just got the PS2 port, I love this game. Flinging the dragon at enemies, collecting coins, all sorts of different attacks, remarkable patterns, and four awesome characters each with different strengths and weaknesses... It's becoming my favorite Psikyo game in a hurry. Made it to stage 6 once with Sonia, I don't think I've ever made it to stage 6 in a Psikyo game before lol

Regardless of what I have in my signature, I've been playing Espgaluda II Black Label (Novice! Hurrhurr) a good 90% of the time I fire up my 360. Probably going to do some runs in normal BL to help improve my skill.

I can't switch back to normal Espy anymore, sadly. I got so used to bullet canceling...

Raiden III with the intention of 1cc. Great game. I tried the PC version but it won't run on my computer sadly.
Also lately I've been dropping some credits into Gradius III (AC) with Type 1 for the hell of it.

Re-learning some parts... and playing in MAME on my CRT. It sure looks nice. But it's being played on a tate'd CRT so still not the best. I'm leaving it Tate'd for Twinbee at the moment. Hmm, maybe I will turn it for Gradius III though. So cool!!

No love for the Character Select theme? That's one of the better modern selection themes in Cave games IMO, excluding pre-PGM games.

Just acquired an NTSC copy of Raycrisis from a friend in the US. This is the one Ray game I haven't spent a lot of time with, and I've been thoroughly warned not to expect much of it, but I'm enjoying it quite a lot, so far.

Oh, so that's what frame skip does..
Now that I figured out how to get Ketsui running at full speed, I've figured out that it is just a little to harsh for me to play.
I've been playing allot of Battle Bakraid, this game is very good. A great mix of Garrega and APB. I think I might be able to clear Normal course with some more playtime.
