how to get the PC version "Layer Section" to run?

It's a PC Taito shooter that came out in Japan in 1999. I'm running the program through Microsoft AppLocale and it still locks up right after bootup. Anytips?

it should work w/o the AppLocale thing ... i remember i played it a couple years ago, w/o japanese settings, and w/o using DosBOX or whatever... it just simply ran!.

now, why dont you try Win9x compatibility mode?...

or even better, the game its on MAME, and its the arcade version!!!...

Yeah, or get the SS port which is identical to the arcade original. The PC port is horrid.

SS version isn't identical, check Rando's ST section thread.

As mentioned try compatibility mode, also lowering your colour settings can help (it's how I got virtua fighter 2 to run).
