Fast Striker on the iPhone

Post by farewell »

http://itunes.faststriker.com/

Anyone heard about this? I guess NG:DEV ported this for IOS. I decided to pick it up... I like it. It's pretty weird playing vertizontally on the touch screen, your finger tends to feel crowded at times... but the port seems solid. It's nice to have another good shooter on the go.

I know most of the people here are kind of sour on iPhone shmups, but will anyone else be picking this up? I recommend it if you have the spare $5 USD.
This is the end.

I find it weird that they didn't feel like porting the game on Wiiware or XBL because of piracy concerns*, but iOS is cool now?

*at least that's the impression i got from talking with THE

Guess so. I suppose it's harder to pirate an iPhone application...? I'd imagine so with touch controls, but I don't know.
This is the end.

...and yet, Dreamcast release

XBLA Fast Striker would be pretty cool for the online leaderboards, although I have the bad feeling it would end up looking like most of SNKP's Neo*Geo⇒XBLA ports. Wiiware... yeah, seems like anyone who knows their way around the Wii well enough to even find Wiiware is also savvy enough to have their system broken wide open.

Awesome, I've only played Fast Striker once on MVS so it will be nice to give it more time before I try and hunt down a DC copy.

This should probably continue in the main Fast Striker thread.
