May i ask why you went for the DSi?
The 3DS is releasing in less than a week.
But having owned several units of every DS hardware revision, i can tell you that you went with the best one.
Well basically I like to "collect" variants here and there when possible. I've wanted an XL since it was announced, but just kept putting it off. That anniversary version XL made me want it more.

The last straw was when I started playing a few DS games again, had a $100 amazon gift card in hand and a $10 amazon reward credit on my account. That thing new from Amazon ran me only $70USD shipped (free shipping through Amazon Prime?). Now I don't have all the color versions (that would be hardcore and nutty!)... but now I've got the original, lite, iQue and XL.

The 3DS has my interest due to Kid Icarus. But the screen seems too small to me. I'll eventually pick one up. I'm hoping for an eventual "3DS XL" release though as an "ultimate" version. :D

How is this? I'm a big fan of the Super Famicom version but I've never played any of the other releases.

It's the ultimate Umihara Kawase package really. Has both the SFC and PSX versions ported perfectly. However, the sequel has been improved upon by including a map of the entire field on the bottom screen (which you will need, because some of the exits are much more well-hidden.) In addition, playing that unlocks more bonus stuff (art gallery, sound test, etc) I can't say for sure which one is better though. Personally, I find myself playing the sequel more because it gives you the damn option to continue.
It's still a big challenge without the ridiculous spawn rate of enemies though. Some of the fields have the most impossible looking jumps!

How big of a CF memory card can the SNES Powerpak cart accept?

Why did you buy a famiclone that only outputs mono sound.

I like how the powerpak is worth over twice the price of the "Yobo".

That's what I kept hearing from owners. Seems like a very handy product especially for translations, homebrews, etc etc.
Back in the early 90's I was using a SuperUFO 32mbit SFC/SNES copier... this little device is so much more convenient for when you want to play on an actual system on an older 90s style CRT TV.

I like the novelty of a portable SNES/SFC that's another alternative vs. portable emulation. I'm assuming Yobo's have much higher manufacturing runs in addition to having better inroads to chinese manufacturing in order to drive down costs quite a bit. Not to mention possibly more "questionable" part quality.

very cool , I will have to check out ghost chaser.
I have a friend who i worked with getting rid of his famicom collection,
he gave me first dibs and I picked these games as well as few PS one import titles.

I dig GOURMET SENTAI BARA YAROU , the artwork is very good and game play is solid.
when I sell it you will be first to know.

Posted this in my Pier Solar topic, but I figure it's appropriate here as well:

Great game so far, I like the idea with having an enhanced soundtrack by placing an extra CD in the Sega CD drive.

My friend ordered Pier Solar as well, we played it in RGB on my X'eye with the music CD and I was really impressed with it. The detail they managed to pack into the terrain background tiles considering the Genesis's on screen color limitations is quite impressive.

Allow me.

Here's a bit of Super Fami penis envy for you. I can't be bothered to photo and post in this thread every time I get something, so I don't bother at all, but here's all the SFC stuff in one big hit - 73 titles I believe. All complete, most mint, some still wrapped in cling film (I just tend to keep it in whatever stuff it came in.)

<AWESOME PICS OF SFC GOODNES>

NiiiiiiiCE!

Here's my holy trinity of 16-bit. Not gonna dump a flood with a bunch of what's in there pics, my sig has some old pics of specifics. Though I've added a whole lot more to the SFC, MD, PCE since those.
