After getting to 2-2 in Pork 1.01, I've switched to 1.00 and I'm getting my ass kicked. Seems a good deal tougher, I'm sure I'll adjust to the shorter lard time and the other differences.

Been also getting the hang of Sweets Arrange, it is incredibly fun.
Kasumi is my favorite to use so far, getting deep into Stage-6 and then shit comes flying at me in ever direction at warp speed, Yikes!

What does your fire rate actually have to be to hit #60? I hit a Shooting Watch out of curiosity and got 12 shots/sec (can't remember if I've been faster in the past..) and I haven't been able to activate the highest rate yet..kind of hoping they don't expect us all to be Takahashi Meijin

Probably need some sort of turbo feature to get it that high. All I've managed is 30 with two handed tapping for several seconds.

Are you sure about that? I've definitely hit 30 easy and never got the achievement (as far as I know). I've got it to start flashing like it does before it jumps up to the other levels once it was on 30 as well.

Every Raizing game with a shot speed indicator went up to 60.

I have to use the turbo setting on my stick to get past 15.
I've gotten to 20 and 30 w/o it but it's hard as shit (for me)

may find mmp and ps difficult w/ the ranking system.
that's particularly true for me as I can't even get past the 2nd
boss on mmp. I'm really struggling with the aspect of having to
destroy each individual piece to finish the boss off vs. a primary
focal point and having optional targets to destroy for additional points.

You do realize these games operate at 60fps right? That means a rapid fire rate of 30 is firing a shot every other frame. Beyond this, you are simply holding the fire button down longer since the game its not detecting a gap. So its not firing faster after this point, but slower.

Im starting to get the hang of muchi pork pretty well, but still confused about a few things.

Suiciding is something i dont get. I dont get the difference between suiciding before a boss to make him easier as opposed to not suicidin, possibly dying, and then still lowering the rank? Does it not affect him once he appears?

I also dont get the importance of shot.frequency in pink sweets. I got it to 12 and just didnt understand the point

Not necessarily true. Just because a game is running at 60fps doesnt mean the game logic isn't running at a higher rate.

I'm reasonably sure that my question has been answered somewhere in this thread, but after sifting through 13+ pages and not finding anything I decided to simply ask you guys. What about those fucking stupid black borders? Why does it still have black borders on the 16:9 LCD monitor I use? Is there/ will there be a patch for that? I stumbled across the Tate option by chance (talk about ultra-shitty menus) but so far I haven't found an option to turn off the black borders... is Cave trying to make me rage on purpose? What in the fuck is going on here?

(And where are the autofire options for both games?)

Turn the Wide option to Off then manually change the Zoom options to fill the screen. Total shit, yes, but at least you can do it on a widescreen display this time round (unlike Guwange).
