Both days are good for me; I wouldn't mind moving this week's main meet to one of them (or even permanently changing it).
And Fußschmand, I'm glad you had a good time at Casino! Hopefully more people will be able to meet you next time you visit. :)

The Dogyuun board is mine, so that can go back in anytime.

So, JDE - Wednesday or Thursday this week? I'm easy! Perhaps hzt, MX7 or Dan76 or somebody else has a preference.

And when's the 'Welcome Home CHI' day occuring?!

Thanks for the kind words. :D
Next time, I will try to be there in the evening.

It was just not possible for me this time. Thanks to the Casino, I am now re-addicted to Mushihimesama. :D

Cool! The next I am down in London, should I give you some advance notice or can you hook it up on the day pretty much? It's a great game but I am not sure if I prefer tastujin 2 more...

Thanks!

Under a million points off getting on the overall leaderboard this morning. ヽ(`Д´)ノ

dan76 and Ravid are on there enough already, I'll be happy just getting that number 5 spot.

Good luck mate. I guess you'll be replacing a score of mine?!

I'm guessing it will be Tuesday next week? Currently I'm free then.

I'd like to actually come in and play a decent credit soon.

One other thing - I mentioned the London Shmupmeet to The Engineer, who seemed open to a few more STG installs over that period.

Tuesday is fine with me.

As to the shmup meet, would it be an idea to have a 360 installed somewhere (if that's possible). Doesn't need to be a japanese system either, what with the region free cave ports and Deathsmiles - just a thought.

Hmmm - good point. the arcade did have a credit-activated 360 on one of the fighter cabs once, running something like FIFA on a timed game, so maybe it's possible...

I'm ill in bed with a nightmare cold (again) so I can't make it - plus I'll be away the week after so I'll see you all at the end of the month.

That's a bit shit. Get well soon!

It's also shit as I wanted to grill you about that Deathsmiles Volcano insta-recharge technique. For me, whenever I bomb it just wipes the counter out before the bomb detonates.

Perhaps I should or shouldn't be firing or something. I'll do some reading up now.

For the instant recharge you need about 350 left on your power up counter. With Follette I enter power up near the beginning of the stage, just as the first "frog fella" enters top right. The timing is probably different with other characters so you might have to go into power up earlier/later. Also, be sure you don't shoot any of the green eyeballs before you bomb, and move towards them after pressing the bomb button so you're in the middle of all the gold crowns. Your bomb should detonate at the end of the ledge near the top of the large floating rock.

Tricky, so many little things to get right but once it clicks it's a cert every time. - This should be in the strategy section I suppose.

That kit is still up for grabs BTW (it's a full kit...) plus there's another I've found at a similar price.

As to the meet, didn't you once have a console set up on the pool table in there?

That was a supergun, but we could do the same with a console. The problem is getting a TV down there. I'd gladly take my Sony PVM 29", but we'd need somebody with a van.

I only have a skateboard... :|

Great night last night where me, hzt and JDE all got infuriated while Jon the Dig Dug player went through the same. There was a great moment where in frustration he called one of the Dig Dug enemies a 'dinosaur slut', or something like that.

I'll be down next week with that Fighting Hawk PCB for you JDE.

The bitch is back! CHI - I read this before I left home. Were you talking posters? Or just a warm welcome?

I do have the Fighting Hawk PCB with me though JDE.

Great to see you all last night.

Particularly nice to see CHI after all these months. I can confirm to the forum that all his time on Miami Beach (where he spent all those hours at Muscle Beach of course) he now looks like Arnie did in his heyday.

I recieved some words of gaming wisdom from John the Mr. Do guy this evening and just missed getting on the scoreboard again, this time with Reco. I think I'm cursed.

I also got to hear some guy playing Streetfighter gleefully call his opponent a "batty butler" (I think?) which nearly made me lose a life.

Anyway, are we on for tomorrow night? spadgy, you in this country?

I'm one day into a month break from uni and I'm already bored...
