This was my first credit past the 4th boss, and my first credit that reached 70m. Stage 5 is quite the goldmine.

Arrange
Chempop - 140,847,890 - All - Ikuo

Pretty mindless mode from a survival standpoint, I can see why top players might have been hoping for something more challenging. Still lots of fun for me though!

Pretty much played for survival(minus rank control since I don't score well enough to do it) as I haven't looked into how to properly score. If I could do that, a 1cc of Arrange may not be far off. Still need a lot of work for Arcade mode though, only gotten to 1-3 there, and with like under 20 million.

Fun as hell game regardless of mode, but I really need to learn how to score on all of them. I also like how it never seems to actually be impossible even at max rank. Stage 4 and 5 were sightread. Game overed on Stage 5 boss.

Still need to make a Japanese account to get that Matsuri DLC. But I wouldn't do very well at that at the moment due to me sucking at the normal game.

Edit since I beat the other score:

Arrange
Phoenixma-136,511,750- All- Rafute

Did well on overall. Had a decent amount of spare lives going into the final bosses, but damn that is hard. Still probably not very good on the scoring thing, but it's better.

I'd say that's pretty good because it's in the ball park of the other two arrange scores posted so far... But, Sapz Arcade score is around there and it's clear that arrange offers way more points. I'd like to know if 1bil is possible. I remember when getting into deathsmiles v1.1 thinking I had a decent score and a few months later I had topped it X10, never know with these arrange modes lol.

I want to get the 1cc before I get serious about scoring. That and the idea of playing with low lives in stock at all times and milking the bosses just seems like a bad idea when you often screw up and die stupid deaths, so intentionally losing lives and stuff really isn't for me yet.

Every death was failing to dodge, none were intentional.

Was doing well until stage 4 where I broke my chain so many times before good scoring spots. Outside of that, completely screwed up the second half of the stage denying me my chance at getting to 1-5. Oh, and I forgot to submit it to the leaderboards too since I canceled out of the replay save thing, then pressed b for cancel replay then pressed A to confirm. Too bad cancelling out of the replay menu sends it to the do you want to upload your score message, so I canceled out on that too.

Still not ready to post any 1.01 scores, but here's my best Arrange so far (only 1cc on it yet, but haven't spent much time with it).

I'm still not sure exactly how scoring works in this mode, but it sure is fun. I'm Piazzola11 on XBL if anyone wants to check out the replay. I'm always looking for tips/pointers!

Nice work everyone, glad to see a bunch of people playing this great game! Looking forward to seeing some 2-ALL's from you guys in 1.01.

I still haven't put any time into arrange or matsuri but managed to improve a little in 1.01. I'm still getting wrecked at the 2nd half of stage 3 but at least I've seen stage 4 a few times now.

I think I mixed up which character I used for my score

Yellow - Rafute
Pink - Momo
Blue - Ikuo

If that is correct the. Please change my Arrange score to Rafute, I was using the Yellow buzzsaw girl. Sorry about the mixup, it won't happen again.

Nicescore NTSC-J! I take it you've had time with the PCB?

Yea I owned it a few years ago and played it for a few months before having to sell it. Been a while since I played it, but I`m about up to speed.

EOJ has 300 million in this mode, though, so I`ve still got a ways to go.

He's the bane on my existence right now. For that first attack I'm having mild success by starting in a lower corner and moving all the way to the other, then up the edge of the screen, then to the very top middle and back down. By then he'll start his second pattern (double green vertical shots) and I am hopefully directly in between the line of fire. That should take care of his first form.
Good luck, and let me know if you find another method that works!

[edit] speed is crucial here so I don't bother larding his ass until I'm in between those green bullets.

I promised myself to post a score today by the end of lunch regardless of how much I did or didn't improve and I ended up beating my highest score by a 300K. Not the greatest run overall but at least it was an exciting finish with the boss. Normally I like to make it to the boss with at least a bomb, but no love this time.

Put in like 3 hours on the 360 version so far, though I played for six or eight a year ago on the board. (I've been playing Sweets more for some reason) I one-lifed the first two stages, which is obviously bad. (I'm getting 10-11m on Stage 1 pretty frequently, which means I need to start figuring out where to die there, too) Rank was really high by the stage 3 boss, and I died a few times before things got back under control. By that point I just wasn't ready to finish things off, and died (I think) right before I would've finished the stage. Ah well. I really love this game.

1.01
chempop - 122,770,890 - 2-2 - Rafute

[edit] Actually on second thought, I may give 1.00 a try and see how that goes.

Maybe posting these scores will get the more skilled people playing these modes. I sure have no business playing them when I can't even get past 1-4 on Arcade.

1.01- Manpuku
Phoenixma- 14,515,010- 1-2- Rafute

1.01- Harahara
Phoenixma- 14,791,460- 2 - Rafute

Not very. I died at the second mid-boss and having never played the stage, not even in practice mode, I was unprepared for the new patterns.

The replay is up on the leaderboards (I'm #2).
