Also, I take it I'm the only one to assume 'classic horis' includes faster paced ones like Thunderforce.

What about arcade verts that aren't one directional or manic in anyway? Most of my fav's fall into this, from the transitional area started by Xevios.

Their is also Isometric shmups like View Point and Zaxxon.

Where does Jump Bug fit? It's a shooter where you jump but there's no jump button, and there's no running so it's not a run and gun. Re vote pls.
