Amidar
Phoenix (hopefully resolved now)
Shinobi (perfect)
Wonderboy (perfect)
Rave Racer
Rygar (perfect)
Double Dragon
Robocop
Rolling Thunder (perfect)
Rock N Rage (I liked it)
Bubble Memories (just so I can see it)

I know some of these got computer game ports, but I want 100% emulated versions on PS2>

If only PC games were collectable, eh? If this were a rare Saturn or PS1 port, even if it was a terrible one it'd be worth a bundle.

Shinobi & Wonderboy were both sucessfully ported on the PCE & Rygar is quite good on the NES. I think it was also on the AMIGA & Master System, but correct me if I'm wrong.

OUT RUNNERS. And the shitty MD version doesn't count.
Planet Harriers, just so I can bloody play it.
Another vote for Black Tiger and Rolling Thunder.

In fact, Sega should put out some sort of collection of their racing games. Hang-On, Enduro Racer, Out Run, Super Hang-On, Power Drift, Out Runners, Virtua Racing, Daytona 1 & 2, Sega Rally 1 & 2, Scud Race... Racing heaven. :D No graphical upgrades or messing around, just arcade perfection.

Rygar on NES is good, but it's completely different from the arcade game. The SMS and Lynx ports are good, though. While it's not a console, the X68000 Rygar is pretty much arcade perfect, as far as I know.

Phoenix has a port in the Taito Space Invaders controller and a very good Atari 2600 port. The NES port of Rolling Thunder isn't arcade perfect, but it's pretty darn good. There's also that Namco Museum Encore version, which is supposed to be pretty darn good. Namco Museum 50th Anniversary for Xbox, GCN, and PS2 will have Rolling Thunder in it, BTW.

The original Wonderboy isn't on the PC Engine, but it does have some good home ports on the SMS and NES, though the NES one is altered a bit.

Amidar has some good home computer ports and there are some good clones of it like Amazing Penguin for the GB. Still, more ports of it would be great.

didn't this come out for a Commodore computer too?

edit: yeah it was as 64/128 game, but restricted to one player

Outrun 2:SP!

It's a crying shame that this game will never be ported. It's mostly due to the fact that the xbox port of Outrun 2 sold so poorly. Everyone got so caught up in Burnout 3 that no other arcade racer could compete.

Did Mystic Warriors from Konami ever get a home port? I absolutely love the game but I've never seen it mentioned anywhere.

Nope, must've been somebody else. I know there was a member around here who got it recently (the GameFAQS thread, don't remember...)

It actually got a home port to the Game.com, but the less said about it the better. It definatly deserves a better port. I actually got the game.com port for 1 cent and still felt ripped off.

Shadow Dancer arcade definatly deserves another home port. The SMS version doesn't do it justice. The Genesis Shadow Dancer is great, but it's a completely different game.

Several Sega arcade titles did make it to DC console...

Sega did bring out an arcade collection for their DC console with arcade perfect ports of: Afterburner, Power Drift, Out Run, Hang On, and Space Harrier under the official title of "Sega Gameworks Vol. 1" along with a 115 page historical book on the background history of developing each respective Sega arcade game title.

Sega Gameworks Vol. 1 does have support for the official Sega DC VGA Box (using a regular PC SVGA monitor) and even support for Japanese RGB as well. All five classic Sega arcade titles run at 60 frames per second for arcade quality silky smooth framerate on the Dreamcast console.

Sega Gameworks Vol. 1 got a very limited DC (Japan only) release (and commands a very hefty price on eBay in either new or used condition!) and sadly doesn't support the Sega Driving Wheel or any 3rd party DC steering wheel when playing any of the Sega classic racing arcade titles. And also no VMU support to save the high scores either...which sucks.

You basically use a stock DC gamepad with no VMU place in it to play the Sega classic racing games but you can use a Sega Agetech Stick to play Space Harrier on the DC as the original Space Harrier arcade input controls were digital-based to begin with anyways.

No Jump Pack vibration function option for any of the five classic Sega arcade titles on the DC is to be found on the Sega Gameworks Vol. 1 GD-Rom disc itself. Would've been cool to have implemented though.

It's a shame this was never included as an unlockable on one of the recent TMNT games, along w/ an unlockable version of Turtles in Time (even though the SNES port was great), and Hyperstone Heist. That would have rocked.

Yeah, I got this one, but I'm hungry for arcade-perfect Out Runners and Virtua Racing in particular. It's a really nice package though, the book makes me wish I could read Japanese, really nicely presented with tons of pics.

I dunno about the "original music" part, but TMNT arcade is unlockable on the latest craparific TMNT PS2 game from Konami (Battle Nexus, was it?). They were originally reported as planning to include Turtles in Time as well, but as the release date got closer they decided to can that, probably so they can put it in a later crappy game. They must know that not one person bought TMNT Battle Nexus for main the game itself.

What? No Cadillacs and Dinosaurs? You gotta be shitting me, that's definitely one of the most deserving games. And I'll also throw in Alien Vs. Predator. Why wasn't Capcom porting all their great beat 'em ups during the 32 bit days? There was Tenchi wo Kurau II, which is great, but it's a fucking cocktease.

Some thread recently had a link to a site with games that were cancelled for various Sega systems. One was Alien Vs. Predator for the Saturn. Not sure if it was the Capcom game or something else, but that really pisses me off.

I've never played Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, nor the arcade Alien VS. Predator game. *shrugs*

At any rate, I stand by my list. At least half of those games could've, and should've, made it onto the Saturn, including all the missed Raizing games I listed. Thunder Cross 1 and 2 would've been a nice double pack, as would've R-Type Leo and Lethal Thunder, and the Macross arcade games, for the Saturn.

Solar Assault and Solvalou BOTH should've made it onto the PS1, considering that Galaxian 3 and Star Blade Alpha did. Metal Hawk should've been included on one of the PS1 Namco Museums. Diddo with Vasara 1 and 2 and the PS2. There's no good reason WHY Capcom couldn't have included the original Street Fighter on at least ONE of their Street Fighter game collections, the Cave games should've made it to the PS2, and the Toaplan games that never got home ports could've easily been done on the Genesis. SNES, or PC Engine-as could've both Omega Fighter games.

As for the rest, the other Capcom and Konami games mentioned, Blood Brothers, and the rest; all could've been done on the Genesis SNES, PC Engine, or Saturn.

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs made it to the Sega CD, as I recall. No idea if the port is any good or not.

Planet Harriers is indeed a sweet looking game. The shop between levels kind of reminds me of UN Squadron (arcade). It would play better if the controls weren't so twitchy, though. I'd like to see a console port for that reason alone: to see if they can't make it easier to play.
