Hi!
I recently bought a new stick-controller. It works just fine in windows, tried it with mame and no problems what so ever. But in PCB only the buttons work, it wont register the movements from the stick itself. Anyone had this problem? Why cant I configure controls in PCB at all for movement? Is there anything wrong with my version?
In Windows the stick is registered as the "point of view hat" not the axes type like a normal d-pad.

What's the exact model of the stick? Your mention of "point of view" makes me think my old post here could help you since I had the same exact problem and had to use different drivers... alternatively, you could use Xpadder instead if it sounds like too much trouble.

This is the stick im using, and as said it works well in other games. I do have an xbox360 handheld controller too. In that case the movement works with the d-pad but not with that controllers "sticks". I suppose the problem lies somewhere there.

Your problem is the game doesn't recognize POV hats.
But your stick has a mode switch on it, if it really is the TE.
Flip it until the stick shows as axes in controller test.
