You know, if my J360 dies, I'm replacing it with a US console. Everything I want to play is either region free or in MAME at this point.

Yeah, the pad vs. stick debate always comes up. Personally, I'm much better with a pad, but that's probably just due to experience. I doubt there are many people that learned the game with twin sticks that prefer a pad.
Rotation and curve dashes are way easier with twin sticks, but I find some things easier with pad (jump cancels, watari dashes). It might just be a matter of getting used to it, but I find stuff like this easier with a pad:
Side dash -> Watari into a forward dash -> cRW
or
Jump -> diagonal forward air dash -> Watari to forward air dash -> CW
I think most of the really high level players use twin sticks, but there are people that are really, really good with the pad.

I'm wondering what the lag will be like in Force. Like what if you and I played against kongbox720 and a Japanese player? I'm not sure how all that gets routed, but those packets would be doing some serious traveling.

Excellent. For me this is more important than it being region free.

(although it's probably like this
because it's region free)
