On the second page after the link, click on the blue Japanese writing (this'll take you to a third page). Click on the link starting "http". That should do it.

I just ran across this one and thought I'd post a score. It's not often I can make one of the high score charts.

*EDIT*

heurhface 1,599,740 - 18 - 43

The only thing I dislike about this game is the randomness. It definitely makes it more interesting, but there's a certain element of chance when playing for score. :?

What a time to miss a keystroke. :o
Was definitely my best game though, I had well over 1 mil before even reaching the boss. I had a small chain for the second phase of the boss, but other than that it went great.

Am I missing something here? The game seems so simplistic, but I am having trouble reaching the lowest of all of your scores in either mode.

The secret is to get 8 speed ups and not to get killed. And make big chains.
That's really it. Note that getting 8 speed ups is not quite as straight forward as it sounds.

Eight's a bit high. I stuck with seven, as it made getting all the bonus cubes easier (less deaths by enemies popping in on the edge of the screen doing M.A.C.H. 23).

8 gives you 3 time-bonus enemies at a time, though. If you can stay alive, you can play for a *long* time before the boss shows up.

Does the number of speedups you have determine how many enemies are on the screen or something?

I'll try it tonight and see if I get anywhere.

You're not the only one.

Light Mode
Icarus - 1,918,390 - 24 - 65 <REPLAY>

That's the second time I've beaten you at Light Mode. ^_^
(And the second time I've hit 1.9mil.)

If this table doesn't get updated, I'll ask about taking it over. I'm quite fond of this game, wouldn't mind running the board.

Oh, rubbing it in I see. :)

I don't understand how you managed to die -twice- and still get those two +10s. The timer ran down to 42sec before you grabbed the first +10 and usually it'll go straight to the boss for me at 47sec (I get the same amount of quickens as you too). That's why I just restart if I even die once, because chances are I won't be able to have enough time to get even one +10 to keep going. Any idea how that works? :D I thought maybe it had something to do with your chain, but you didn't get 65 until after that.

Nice job, anyway. I'll try to play some and beat you back. ;)

One thing I've noticed is that the "boss warning" will only appear on screen when you have fully respawned (as in, after your invincibility wears off). In that particular part of the replay (where I died once, respawned and immediately blew myself up, and then picked up the 2x +10sec straight after) I aimed my respawning point right on top of one of the +10sec items. That way, when I've respawned, I have at least a second or two to pick up the +10, which will give me enough time to grab the other one.

It's a pretty difficult thing to do, but if you can manage to keep accidental deaths to a minimum, you can get at least an extra +50sec throughout the run. A lot does depend on how quickly you get your first Quicken, though.

Heavy -- 3'511'150 -- 1ST -- 84CH
Light -- 1'517'650 -- 19ST -- 50CH

So that puts my Heavy score in 2nd & my Light in I-don't-know-where.

Oh yeah, and this is my 1st post! :)
