And finally, the thing tates alright, but it tates in the wrong direction for console shmups

In other words, a vertical shooter would actually scroll downwards on this LCD?

That would basically kill any chance of obtaining this monitor for home TATE shooter use.

Well, some shmups feature both a 90 and 270 degree rotation option for Tate (Psyvariar 2 and Trizeal spring to mind).

My 15 in LCD monitor rotates in the "correct" direction (270 degrees CW, or 90 degrees CCW.. ie, on to its left side), however, when I try to hook it up to my DC through a VGA box/cable the image is oversaturated with white and there's nothing that I can do to eliminate this. As a result, my DC is currently hooked up to my old 17 in CRT monitor that I've tate'd. When it comes to PC shmups though, any of the doujin games I have look fantastic on the LCD monitor.
