Yeah, I watched it. I guess it was his own shot at The Divine Nymph. The visuals make me suspect he wanted to make something along those lines.

It's strange to see him react well to all the laughs his movie gets, in a good way. I always wondered what Ed Wood would have thought if he saw everyone laughing at Plan 9. I was guessing he would have a bad reaction. Well, this guy seems pretty keen on it, so maybe I was incorrect.

This whole Ed Wood thing seems to be just a bunch of pricks picking on the guy. I wouldn't say Plan 9 comes as a particulary shitty film compared to other SF flicks of the era, or even much more recent films by relatively famous makers.

Has anyone here gone to a midnight screening of the movie? I hear it's a blast with all of these drunken fans quoting the movie, throwing plastic spoons at the screen, and singing along to the terrible music during the sex scenes among other things. It's become quite a cult phenomenon these days.

You really need to see it at the cinema, pissed, with a variety of things to chuck at the screen. A really awesome cinema experience: couldn't even hear the film over the jeering. Can't wait 'til the next screening

The Room is great, and I've watched it many times. It's one of those movies that never gets boring to rewatch somehow....

I don't know what this is about it being "fake" and "pretentious" because Wiseau definitely meant it to be a serious film, and anything he's done after the fact is to try to reframe it as anything other than that. He's got a bizarre enthusiasm and vision (if you can call it that) for this movie that makes it such a great delirious fever-dream of a botch job.
