These are very cheap on eBay:

They let you use your wireless 360 controller on your PC. Comes in handy if you have a decent one. Also comes in handy if you either like the original 360 controller, or are masochistic. Worked like a charm with my HORI Tekken 6 stick.

Coincidentally, i too have just bought one of these yesterday, pretty neat but it almost drove me crazy with all these synching resynching stuff that didn't mentioned in the fucking useless help files.

Weird. I have not issues with the sync/re-sync, but instead my USB sound card freaked out as long as I have this little gadget hooked up as it has a "sound card" (streaming sound to the head set output). The solution is:
As long as the 360 peripheral is on it's own internal virtual root hub it will not interfere with other devices. You can force it to use another root hub by doing ONE of the following:
1) Fill up your usb ports with other devices till it shifts to using a secondary root hub, then plug in the 360 peripheral. This could take up to 10 USB things, depending on your motherboard and the maximum devices on each root hub.
2) Use an extra internal PCI-USB card for the 360 peripheral.
3) Use an extra external USB hub for the 360 peripheral.
I'm gonna try #3.

Hell yeah!
Image
It was a little expensive for me, the cable bill can wait dammit. But, I've really wanted one of these for some time now. Really excited! Just set up the account and will proceed to download rare and hard to find books! Hopefully High Rise by J.G. Ballard, The Decadent Return of the Hi-Fi Queen and Her Embryonic Reptilian Injection by Simon Logan, split novel with The Steel Breakfast Era by Carlton Mellick III, so I better get both in one!, and Musashi by Yoshikawa, so I can give back the copy I stole from my public library. Books are awesome!
edit: had to redo image.
edit #2: I had to spend a little time on the phone with customer service to get this up and running all proper like. Screw who ever thought it would be a good ideal to have India handle all customer service. What good is it if I can barely understand what the hell he is saying?! He ended up being helpfull in the long run, but it was really trying my patience.
On the plus side I have yet to spen any money (besides buying the hardware..) and just got almost 50 books for free!! Looks like I have to wait untill the movie for High Rise to get the book in a rerelease though. I sat there and read it in one sitting at the library before, but have yet to find a copy of this..

One of my bosses was looking over my shoulder when I watched Ritchie Hawtin explain his DJ setup which is for the most part, identical to a single Xone:4d. My boss just said, "Looks like he's flyin' a jet.".

Here's some awesome stuff I just bought.

Image

I had just ordered a couple of sweet arcade sticks. Yesterday I put in an order for everything else you see here. A BlazePro PS2/PS3 to Xbox 360 Controller Converter Pro (this one has no lag according to shoryuken forum members), a BlazePro PS2 to PS3 controller adapter (I didn't find any info about this). I also got a Team Xecuter Xbox 360 RROD Repair Kit Pro as well as a Xbox 360 opening kit.

Here's what comes in the kit.

I'd be interested to hear your opinion of these converters once you've had a chance to test them out. I've been meaning to get converters to run my HRAP1 on my 360 and PS3 for ages.

Last Hope:Pink Bullets
Only been able to play for about an hour, but so far I like alot. GOOD music. Plus a few books : The Necronomicon (collection of H.P. Lovecraft stories), God is not Great by Christopher Hitchens, and The Origin of Species by Darwin (not pictured). When I finish these I want to get The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.

Now to find a home for my DJM-800, Xone:1D, and Audio 8. Hopefully the whole thing will be a scratch. And no, I'm not suing the midi controllers on the side as a replacement for the CDJs. They're for looping and shit.

No pics this time, but I managed to locate some of the earlier volumes of the CFC (Capcom Friendly Club) VHS tapes to rip and upload, and have someone helping me subtitle them. The later volumes are being generously donated by forum member undamned. :D

You realise the D2 has one of the highest outputs of any portable player, what on earth are you plugging into it? Mine happily drives a set of big cans at volume 10-14.

not using it for cans. D2 has low end drop off when using lower impedance phones. Think of this as a glorified impedance adapter with a dedicated op-amp to get some more bass response in iems when it fits. This along with some balancing of the EQ makes for a more enjoyable sound to my ears. ymmv

Haha. The funny thing is that between the Virus and the keyboard, I don't have any room on my desk for the MD

Thanks for pointing out the bad link. Apparently I thought it was Sound Could.

haha, I hear ya on the deskspace. Mine is pretty cluttered, and depending on what I'm working with, it gets shuffled around a fair bit.

Currently on my desk:
netbook
audio interface
mixer
mc-303
mpc1000
magnus chord organ(hellz ya)
2 dmg's
monotron
and a couple guitar picks
some manuals(303, lsdj,etc.)

not on the desk:
axiom 25
more dmg's

my desk is 2 deep by 4 wide.

its always a juggling act with all the gear.

perhaps look into something like one of these for the machindrum:

also, not sure if you saw my post in the creative thread, but I really liked your tunes!

Very similar to my hip hop stylez

A rack would be a good space saver if I had space for one D: I live in a one bedroom apartment and my modular synth is taking up quite a bit of real estate.

I just saw the post in the other thread. Thanks :D
