US-Europe electrical adapter question

Post by evil_ash_xero »

My sis it going to Spain, and wants to bring along her camcorder. Well, I know that they use a different type of outlet in Europe. Can anyone direct me to the type of adapter I would need to get her, so she can recharge her cam in Spain?

You need to make sure the camera has a 100-240V Adapter (most everything does these days) and she'll need a Type A to Type C adapter to go from flat prongs to round ones. You should be able to find them at most electronic stores, though supply is generally low. Worst case scenario you can get a travel adapter kit from Walmart for like $20-30. They usually include several straight adapters and a voltage converter. Though she'll only need the voltage converter if the camera adapter isn't capable of 240V 50hz input.

Something that looks like this ungodly thing. http://www.adaptelec.com/wa9c-travel-pl ... g-p-5.html
