I added a few more words to the generator.

If you dudes like, we can also create a random cover generator. All we need is a whole bunch of STG-related (but obviously nothing game specific) images of a decent size. I tried gathering some but my google image search skills aren't up to scratch.

I like the idea of a randomly-generated shmup myself, but it doesn't seem to sit well with experienced players, because it complicates scoring. Udderdude removed all randomized elements from XOP at one point, except for one EX stage, where it was just a fun theme.

Lock a few factors in and make it look ridiculously funny like Segagaga's R720 minigame and you have a winner.

Storm Cop: The year is 22XX. Humanity lives in the skies above planet Earth, gathering energy from manmade storms which wash over open ocean. A terrorist group has threatened to dump one of the largest flying cities into the heart of its own power storm, and one pilot stands in between these madmen and their twisted goal.

Elemental Base Matrix: At the reaches of deep space, humanity has developed the perfect weapon: an AI factory-base which can develop and create all its own weaponry. The catch? It is born without much in the way of base information and therefore must teach itself. The simulations it goes through evolve as it creates its own threats to ultimately face off against before weeding out what can finally be produced.

You are a private military contracter/mercenary ordered to spark a global conflict by blowing up a bunch of war machines in a nearby country. Take your gratuitously huge laser and go! For great explosion!

Force Zone
In the far future, the discovery of scientifically verifiable ESP has replaced electricity as an easily renewable power source. However, the discovery of a "force zone" that blocks psychic transmission has caused power failures and massive chaos. Intrepid psychics have been recruited to find the source of the disturbance and eradicate it. But can human minds understand the utterly alien beings (and bullet patterns) that await them within?
Bonus if there's a Freud level like toohoo 11 stage EX.

Fairly self-explanatory, but here goes. You are the last human left in the universe, the only survivor of an earth-shattering catastrophe, maybe caused by "digging too deep" (LotR lol). You thankfully have loads of advanced technology to bust your ass out of trouble, but one hit and you're gone. This could be a free-roaming shmup set in the fragments of the shattered earth, complete with the player salvaging technology and trying to create a colony of his/her own.

Baby Boomer is an unlicensed 1989 action video game created by Color Dreams for the NES. It was developed during 1988. Shooting birds kills them; shooting clouds makes them form ice bridges over pits. Level environments include a graveyard, heaven, and hell.
