Ouch, travel to Blackpool, hotel and £20 entry.
Is there a list of, like, games and stuff?

That's it! Wonderpark it was! What a great place, used to go there with all the Japanese kids from my school.

Anyways, looks like I'll stop by Casino early evening on the 15th, since the lady and I have other commitments Saturday evening.

Nice one CIT - let us know a time nearer the time of your visit.

Sadly I can't make Blackpool - I'm off to Canada that week. :(

Things have been quiet in town since STGT'10 ended, so lets get the ball rolling again!

Tomorrow CIT is swinging by, so lets all make an effort to be there. I'll be there from about 7.30 or 8pm. (I'm the guy with the skateboard CIT.

Lets a few of us make the effort to get down there and welcome our guest!

And lets start meeting up regularly again!

Great to welcome CIT and Ms. CIT in on Friday. Shame it was fairly quiet on the shooting front.

So - is anybody down any evening this week? It's been too long!

Hi, I found out about Casino thanks to Google and this thread a while ago and since I'm there fairly often now I thought may as well say hello.

If anyone ever goes down between 11 and 12 in the morning (unlikely I know) and sees a guy sucking at Progear it's probably me, so please be kind and pretend you didn't see me dodge backwards straight into a bullet I forgot about or panic bomb in a stupid place then die to the next attack. I've never been down in the evening before but if you meet up and don't mind an extra person I might come along to see how these games are supposed to be played.

Hey hzt!

I quite often pop in the casino during the day, haven't seen anyone playing Progear though.

I've been enjoying Progear quite a lot recently. It's a lot more mellow than ketsui, and the stick is a lot better, but the flickering off the screen gets on my nerves a bit. However, after taking a peek at Spadgy's Twitter, it looks like something new is going in to replace Ketsui :D

WARNING! WARNING!

A massive battleship Ketsui is leaving soon!

Gone by the end of the week folks, but my DOJ board will be replacing it.

Also, I was going to offer my Aero Fighters board to replace Fighting Hawk - it seems to fit in with the cheap and cheerful flavour of fun that cab's been delivering!

I might be down Thursday night...

Just a quick shout out to the Londoners, was great getting to know you spadgy, CHI and Rupert_H in person!

Lemme know if you're ever in Berlin, and we can hook up and play some games.

It's pretty cool that a place like Casino still exists. It was also really cool to play Chaos Heat and Red Earth, games I hadn't tried before.

And "hi!" to everyone from Ms. CIT!

That's really cool about DOJ, I've never had a chance to play it before. I'm not sure about that stick though, I played a few credits on Ketsui and spent all my time making sudden jerky movements right into bullets. Actually I think in general Casino is maybe not the most ideal place for getting used to playing with a stick again.

It's the best shit arcade in the world. One day we'll get The Engineer to fix that stick - I'd even donate a spare - I'm sure I have something kicking about.

I'm glad people are keen on DOJ. It will be sweet to have it 'in the wild'.

It only has Defualt settings for now! Being a DOJ board, the battery leaked acid, so I had to remove the battery, neutralise the board, and clean it all up. No battery = resets to default every time the machine is switched off.

See you tomorrow!

Anyone else coming?

I'll be there too, most likely! Really looking forward to a spot of DOJ. Chaining doesn't float my boat, but the game's so hard that after stage 2, it's really not an issue. I might pop down a bit earlier to give Ketsui the 'last rites'. I'd set an arbitrary goalpost of 50million points in my head, and yesterday I made it to 48 on an absolutely terrible run, so I can probably push it a bit further.

I notice here in Japan land it's one of the few boards that doesn't have default settings. It's usually 5 starting lives and no extends, and Mikado have a version I've never seen before (says PGM on start up if it means anything) that lets you select Easy or Original before your ship.

Though with the battery gone, we're just going to have to be more hardcore than the Japanese.

(Engineer would only set it to hardest as soon as you put it in anyway. Didn't even wait for one person to put a credit in before changing DFK to maximum).

So the battery leak finally has an upside!

Glad there's going to be a few of us tonight.

Great night last night! It seems regular Thursday's are back on!

Great to meet hzt, and CHI and MXZ with a friend were in town too.

DOJ got installed, and we all tore it up (sort of!). It's better than I hoped, and so much more fun in a real arcade. something very rare happened in that I got the high score of the night somehow (480 chain on the end of level 3), unless MX7 did something flashy after the rest of us left.

Same again next Thursday - sounds like me, CHI, MX7 and I think hzt will be down again. Anybody else?

I was pretty drunk, ha ha. Met up with an old friend beforehand, forgot to eat anything all, and four pints just destroyed me  Oh no, you beat my score? I went back today and got 22 million (B-S), only a few million off my record! Maybe one day I'll get the second extend... Anyway, awesome game, and it was cool seeing you guys again!

You hide it better than CHI!

DOJ's going to be in for a while, so we should all make it to the second extend with a little effort!

No worries - it's a pleasure to contribute as I've played so many other boards. This is my first one that isn't quite so low-rent as my previous loans!

On that subject, on Thursday I plan to take back Shock Troopers and Fighting Hawk and loan Viper Phase 1.

Be good to see you all on Thursday.

Passing through London today I pushed DOJ my furthest yet into level four, but a shoddy score!

So CHI, shall I bring along Viper Phase 1 on Thursday?
