RQ: Dodonpachi DOJ Hypers....

Is there a system for the hypers appearing... ie score, death?
Just started playing this game and they seem to appear at random.... :?:

they appear by point blanking certain enemies (spinning turret stage 1) or by getting your chain really high, or by destroying certain boss parts first (stage 1 end boss, right and left turrets, one hyper each). at least that's what I've learned.

I'd recommend reading the first post at least of the DOJ GD thread for information on all the game's mechanics, including the hyper gauge.

Lasering large enemies and chaining get you hypers. Obviously you want to do both. As far as anyone can tell, lasering vs shot on popcorns makes no difference.
