Nice scorejump, CRI. :)
I´m aiming for 800 or 850 thousand, then I´d finally stop torturing me with this.

I'm going camping for the weekend, so this is it. I wanted a little more, but things are looking alright right now I guess.

What a stressful game!
playing since the early weeks and rest every day six hours a day dying and resetting, I made points in the second head using two lives counting on the extra life that I was lucky to catch the first phase.
used 100% full speed!!!!!

Yeah, not the best game to play for score in a week-long competition. I've been wanting to beat the second loop of this game for a while now, will definitely get around to it if I find the time to practice the last few stages

This score is impossible. The most you can squeeze out of 1-1 with one life is 120,000; even considering extends it couldn't be pushed that high. Is the stage number wrong?
He ran into a bug in the game where the top of that last "brain wall" became invulnerable and he could just keep shooting at it for a lot of points (although he didn't even know he was getting a lot of points from it, he just kept trying to destroy it and then looked at score after and realized).

We're not sure how it happens, it's only happened once to him. I couldn't reproduce it.
Gamest score for this game was: 4,208,400 by SUR-小川範子(研)天罰(犯), but in 06-30-1993 this game has been removed from database for a not cleared bug (probably LGB have found this). For unknown reasons, this game is re-enable in 11-17-2003 with Arcadia rules (http://www.arcadiamagazine.com/cgi-bin/ ... ?year=1991). Maybe because this bug appear sometimes only? I don't know.

However the actual score in Arcadia is 10.745.100 by DBS (?), is strange because from this page (http://raiden4.air-nifty.com/blog/2009/ ... -80a5.html) I read HAM★HAM as player of Xexex.

I'm curious to see a replay better of 2.400.000, because this game seems have many secrets.

Some mild improvement, stage 5 makes stage 3 a walk in the park. Curse those spinning ships of nonsense and that stupid lance on the miniboss, never even saw it coming.

Well, it's nice to finally be at the top of the heap. To be the very best, to be number 1.
.......on the dynamic scoreboard, what does the player standings list mean-- I'm at the top of it.

Turns out that part in the middle of stage 5 with stuff flying everywhere isn't too bad, you just have to sit on top of the whipper-snipper while it takes its sweet time at the back of the screen. Of course, I proceeded to die shortly after that. I'll try to improve this but I might not get anywhere.

I still have yet to see a single 1up

Accidently played it again and at least reached stage 4. Third boss is a joke, how are you supposed to control your ship.

Ah, so you need two speed ups for him?

I thought the inertia was all over the place.

Make sure you grab the laser right beforehand too, I usually shoot the pod onto his brain and the gun him down pretty quick... when he doesn't kill me.

Agreed with lgb, never use the Shadow Laser. It looks pretty, and it's quite powerful, but completely useless for most situations.

I personally play almost the whole game with Round Laser and two speed-ups, and use the Flint as a free-floating shield, dropping it in positions which benefit me. The only time I change weapons is in stage5, where I take Homing for the stage, and Search for the boss. The stage3 boss in particular is quite susceptible to the Round Laser and floating Flint combination - you just need to be very agile.
