Is Bomberman World for Arcade good?

Can't really find much information about it.

It's by Irem so it must be good? Or is it obsolete due to Neo Bomberman?

I like the way you think, but World is just bare-bones bombing along the lines of the first PCE Bomberman. It doesn't have the item variety or unique battle stages of the console games from the following years, and being designed for arcades, there's not much you can change in the way settings to create different kinds of battles. Allowing four players (even in story mode) makes it the best of the arcade titles, but there's not much reason to play it over the best console games. Go with '94, any Super Bomberman except 3, or Saturn Bomberman instead.

Beyond that, my Bomberman knowledge grows dim. I lost track of the series after Bomberman 64.
