Virtual-On Force (360)

Post by Elixir »

http://next-360action.sega.jp/

It could end up being Border Break or Virtual Fighter 5R ver C, probably not another After Burner seeing as how Climax was just released. What do you think?

Apparently this was discussed in the latest Famitsu360, claiming that it will be a Sega game from the arcades, so at least that narrows it down a bit.

Shinobi.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Okay, didn't see the 360 part.
After Burner reskinned as Space Harrier to work with natal.
It's probably gonna be something dumb, like a 3D Vectorman, Toe Jam and Earl.

Except it's on the Japanese Sega site, so if it's something stupid, it will likely be something in the Phantasy Star or the Shining series

PS. hires Earthworm Jim, it's in the works

A new and proper "offline" Phantasy Star title would be even cooler imo.

Source? The only thing I could find was this. Perhaps my Google-fu is weak. Although VOOT sold well in Japan, so it wouldn't be a huge shock.

If it's true, I have mixed feelings about this...

- I'd like to try VOF, even though VOF is inferior to both VOOT and VOOM (as I understand it, that's the general consensus)
- It would suck if this detracted people from VOOT
- I guess it could raise overall Virtual On popularity, thus raising VOOT popularity, but that's ridiculously wishful thinking

Meh, its a different style of game since it has teamplay. It wouldnt take away from the players liking the 1v1 in VOOT but hopefully will be worth switching to every once in a while. If there is another version of Cypher(with at least the same movement) switching between games shouldnt be a problem for me :p

I'm not thinking House of the Dead 4, Virtua Cop 3, or Rambo - since PS3 would be more likely for these as there's no gun for 360 yet. But anyway...
Babelfish wrote: Count 8! Is expectation of everyone probably what kind of feeling? “action” [tsu] [te] is the delicate place, (laughing)
Some version of Virtua Fighter 5 R would make sense here as "count 8" if you skip VF3 Team Battle (VF5R would be the 8th 1v1 game in the series).

VF1, VF2, VF3, VF4, VF4Evo, VF4: Final Tuned, VF5, VF5R

It's a light gun game bundle for Xbox Live Arcade. Apparently, you need Natal and be able to point your fingers like a gun while making "pew pew" sounds.

My guess is Shining Force Cross conversion from RingEdge hardware.

Course it could be pretty much anything.

I think the the roman numerals could well be XIII (13) otherwise if its VIII then why not show the whole graphic.

Pretty sure that's VIII, because the count is at 8. When the count was at 10, the graphic said 10.

Of course I could be wrong, I haven't looked at it until today.

How are people coming to conclusions about this when the link only shows a big ornate grey "7" with a pink stripe through the middle...?

If I could base a guess at that information I'd say it is some kinda girly racing game, but maybe I'm missing something (as in, I'm clearly missing something).

My first thought was Border Break too.

I hope it's Border Break, even though I don't really know that much about it.

That would be awesome news. When PP7 was announced, it seemed odd to me that it was coming out on DS, PSP, and Wii, but not 360.

I'd feel silly for buying a DS mostly just to play PP7, although I kind of already do considering how much I've been neglecting it. I need to get A LOT better before I can compete with anybody online, so there's a huge mental barrier for me getting into the game.
