DC Twin Stick + Gundam Side Story 0079
DC Twin Stick + Gundam Side Story 0079
I've been trying to use my DC Twin Stick on Gundam Side Story 0079. The left-stick and all triggers work except the right-stick which does nothing. I don't remember where I read it, but there was an article that said this game supported the Twin Stick. Was I dreaming that or is there suppose to be a hidden option somewhere to enable it? I'm playing the US version so maybe Twin Sticks works with the japanese version only? I don't know...anyone care to shed some light on this please. Thanks.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if the DC Twin Sticks will work said JPN DC Gundam game. You could rip a CD-R of it and find out if it does or not.
On a related note in dealing with console based dual twin stick setups, the optional PSX SCPH-1110 Analog Joystick controller is usable with some early PSX games including: Ace Combat, Armored Core series & Andretti Racing to name a few titles with said support from the get-go.
Even the USA PSX game release of THQ's Ghost In the Shell has support for the cool optional Dual Shock 1 controller with vibration/rumble functionality removed but still has support for dual analog stick mode (this info was not disclosed in the GiTS instruction manual whatsoever). The original JPN PSX version of GiTS still does have support for the Dual Shock 1 controller and vibration/rumble effects are included for completeness/added value. It's one of those cool hidden PSX controller gem tricks you've got to discover for yourself.

Great idea, I bet that game would benefit a lot from the twin-sticks setup. The ordinary controls work but are a bit clunky, especially for using the analog stick to control head/aim while moving in other directions. Hope you're successful.

Downloaded a copy of the jpn version of Gundam today, sadly it doesn't work with Twin Stick. Damn
I did find another game that fully supports Twin Sticks and that's Outtrigger. It's pre-configured to use the left-stick for movement and right-stick for aiming, even the pause button is supported. I found aiming with the right-stick very awkward, but use a mouse instead and it gets much better.
Here's a guy from japan playing Outtrigger with Twin Stick + mouse. This where I got the idea from.

In fact the Twin Stick + mouse is great for other FPS games. I've just tried it with Quake III and its awesome.

Are the Dreamcast Twin Sticks analog?
I know the Playstation sticks are analog. They function with a good number of games.
I've been looking forward to trying them with Zero Pilot and Choro-Q Jet Rainbow Wings.
That's awesome they work with Ghost in the Shell, I did not know that PC Engine Fax X ~ looking forward to giving that a go too!

Don't think so. The twin sticks have microswitches so I assume they're digital.Koa Zo wrote:Are the Dreamcast Twin Sticks analog?
