Haven't seen the videos yet, I did see one that looked pretty nifty, I just hope that they don't repeat the mistakes of Iridion II. The game was pretty, the music awesome, but yes, the game didn't have much going for it...While I admit a shmup doesn't need to be a bullet fest to be good, I do think Nanostray just didn't use enough of them.

Yes, these days most PDA shmups (on the PPC at least) have stylus control with autofire, in addition to standard D-pad and button controls. In a lot of cases, the stylus control works a lot better than the D-pad, mostly because D-pads are designed poorly for the purpose on most PDAs, although it's far from an optimal solution. For an idea of how this plays, go play Noiz2 (the Java app one, not Noiz2SA) on Kenta Cho's site.

I'm looking forward to it greatly and only £18 from VG+ so well worth a punt and the official ranking website will certainly add replay value, there's alot going on for a 3" screen though. Loved to see the slowdown in couple of the videos.
