32 chars huh. I wish to make a character list of well-wishing

guys

Nina (Breath of Fire)
Morrigan

guys
What, sausagefest! Just two wimmin?

Add:

Rogue
Elena (SFIII)
Franziska von Karma (Phoenix Wright 2)
that Biker chick from Phoenix Wright 3, Desirée DeLite

Hell, they should just put 32 Phoenix Wright characters in it. And I almost forgot Godot (Phoenix Wright 3)!

Gene, definitely. And a big yes for Killer 7 characters. Dan would be my choice too, and should be able to summon Harman Smith as a striker..

Thats pretty much a killer line up DJ! I dunno about onimusha character since there based on actual factual character in history . . . to some extent. I just dont think they should go there. Same with other game they did devil basara or something (cant be arsed to wiki the precise name right now)

EDIT: also just been brought to my attention it is super manly line up. I mean morigans titties are epic but not epic enough to carry the game. you need some more fems in there for sure. Ms Marvel? Black Cat? or on a lesser note Rogue and Storm.

I am really intrigued to see what the new graphics look like though. As it all looks very grim and I perfer the colour pallets of the Vs games which are a lot brighter and such. You can tell a lot by the character art for say a character like Dan

Image Marvel super vs Street fighter
ImageAlpha 3
Image Alpha 3 Saikyo
Image Here he is in Marv vs Cap 2

This aint the best character to pick maybe but I am just saying I love my comics to be bright and colourfull and a bit camp. The background were pretty dull in MVC2 to, The worst being the brown clock stage. There ripping on the pirate ship (kotaku podcast) but that was one of the few stages which had significance to the actual 'plot' . There saying that they want to change the look. I just dont want my Ryu to look like anyone else other than Ryu becuase right now he looks like a moody mother fucker. Also what the fuck is up with hulk?! Just saying its all a bit to dark for me I hope they splurge with some colour. Becuase the colour pallets in the CPS2 Vs Games were/are fucking awesome. The look of Marvel VS Capcom3 is very very dark. Which i hope there not doing just to get people to stop compairing to to VsTat or Street fighter IV.

Also how awesome a team up would Dan hibiki and deadpool be?

I hope that the cactus boy and the pirate woman won't show up again. Those were dumb characters, especially the cactus. I never played Thanatos, and I didn't care for the characters that were too big to properly play, like Blackheart and Sentinel.

OK, everyone seems to be dwelling on the Capcom characters, so I'll talk about Marvel instead. (Depresses me to know that Lin Kurosawa won't ever show up in these games anyway.)

I would love to see the Fantastic Four in this one, and to see more X-Men like Jean Gray, Nightcrawler, Kitty Pride (just think of her counters!), Beast, Forge, and Angel (and maybe even Mystique or Moira McTaggart?). Forget Banshee though. The guy's super power was to fly by screeching real loud. Jubilee would be awesome---she only showed up as a supportive character in MvC1. I think Punisher would be excellent, but I can foresee him being a cheap-ass that all the lazy people will pwn everyone with like Cable in MvC2. From Spider-Man, maybe Carnage, Rhino, or Lizard Man? Green Goblin would be popular from the movie, for sure, and maybe even Sandman.

There's already official promo Shinkiro art that's been labeled by fans. That's half the roster there. Personally, I'd like to see Vanessa von Schneider from PN03 return.

Mephisto would be a pretty cool Marvel addition. Never read the comics but I always thought he was a pretty cool character. :)

Edit: Looks like he's been more or less confirmed if the silhouettes are anything to go by.

But... Raging Demon Pop-Up Pirate.

And Dante... Felicia... Deadpool... Doesn't matter anymore, my team is decided. And MvC2 proved most people will use the same cookie cutter team regardless how boring they are. So w/e.

The guys from Sweet Home.

Versus Spider-Man's girlfriends.

One of them can be a ghost. Because she's dead.

There's 100% of your roster right there.

What the hell is it with Chun-li and Ryu. Geez, they're like in every Capcom fighting game. I wish they don't include any more Street Fighter characters in the roster since there's SF4 already. Those precious slots could be much better used for other characters (Gene, aaahhhhhhhhh!!!!)

He's already in MSHVSF, albeit as a disappointing palette swap for Blackheart.

I'm with you. But does anyone else think that it's possible that Capcom may come out a year or so later with a Marvel vs Capcom 3 Ultimate Fighters EX Plus Alpha Senki Densetsu Gaiden or some idiot name and keep the same game and just throw in a ton more characters that everyone wanted from MvC2 that didn't make it into this game?

Good point. 30 characters is a little low, MVC3 needs 50+, so perhaps a revision could be in order a year after the fact.
I too like Hayato from Plasma Sword among others, I hope there are more returnees. I will say this much, adding Deadpool was a good idea.

I tell you whou should be in this game: Susano from Ōkami, that's who. Maybe Issun (full size mode) too. (Hey, that "Pyon" thing from Puyo Puyo, anyone?) As for Marvel long johns wearers, Punisher is the only one I respect (Wolverine rubs elbows with X-Men).

Dunno, man, they went 30 fps on consoles this gen (like pretty much everyone else, but it still sucks), and their current-gen catalogue appears not quite as daring as their last-gen catalogue.

There are already plenty of X-Men characters (ditto Street Fighter), so the Punisher should come first. Let him use the gun, but maybe only for a Super move. Bring in Kingpin and Rolento as well (give him his Final Fight "grenade suicide illusion" as a super). I'd like to see some X-Men get stuck on the business end of the Take No Prisoners super. "Koing!"

There was already an arcade side-scrolling brawler starring Punisher (hey, I saw that machine in the arcade, but didn't know the other guy was Nick Fury!). He is not all tights, belts and firearms. Come to think of it, he could make up for the Gene's absence quite nicely.

I love that game- one of Capcom's better beat'em ups.
Just avoid the Genesis cartridge, which doesn't do it justice. I hated the stiff control on this port, as well as the absence of some enemies (Yan Lee and the other karate masters are gone). Capcom's inhouse team had nothing to do with this 16M cart. Instead play it with MAME, FBA, or an actual PCB. Shame they didn't do a Saturn conversion at the time they were cranking out Marvel fighter ports on Saturn (COTA, XVSF, and MVSF).

Some of the best character design ever seen in a videogame and you pick a bloke in a suit with a gun? :o He's probably the most likely though, to be fair.

KAEDE's wrist slitting would be awesome, but I doubt it would pass.

Harman would be a lot more politically correct as he would trundle around in a wheelchair, with a rocket launcher :D

Susie Sumner's head rolling around, spewing emoticons... OK, maybe not.

Seriously, I'm booting up Killer 7 tomorrow.

they have already said there sticking to there core universe characters. So the likes of Kickass would not make it in. That and marvel only publish the comics of this character they dont actually own the rights to him.

I thought that might have been the case with Mark Millar being independent, but I know John Romita Jr. and his father worked on lots of Marvel stuff. It would be neat if the game had the art styles of various Spider Mans, but it's not very likely. It would be neat to play as the John Romita or Steve Ditko Spider-Man, though.

Hopefully, the female characters will be better balanced in MvC3. Most of them were lower tier in MvC2.

I hope Dr. Strange and The Mighty Thor will be in MvC3.

they have also said there not going to have a lot of difrent costumes. 'what would you rather have lots of different costumes or lots of characters?' was whats been said

I would not be suprised if this hit 45 to 50 characters. They have a year to work on it

I rather have more characters. Outfits they can sell through DLC, which I don't give two craps about. Especially for the price they go for (just look at SF4 DLC.)
