I hope you are not dissing black pudding etc - second only to bacon in my favourite pig related products. Its best with barley in.Ed Oscuro wrote:I would much rather eat blood pudding. Meatbread is hilarious, I'm laughing at that.

I'd much rather go to Popeyes myself, but the closest one is 15 miles away (Compared to a KFC about a half a mile from my apartment.) Even so, I do make it there for some spicy chicken and an order of red beans and rice every so often.
Re: Just drop the bomb and get it over with(The KFC Double Down)
fuck popeyes....i get sick everytime ive eaten there

Re: Just drop the bomb and get it over with(The KFC Double Down)
hey guys…
I just had one of these KFC things yesterday… I seldom eat fast food and my current wieght is at 154 lbs, so I figured it wouldn't hurt… I guess it's average at best - quite messy and filled me up and left me tired…

Just tried to tackle one myself. It was messy, gross, and overall makes me feel like an awful person for even attempting to consume such a thing. I'm gonna go fall asleep in a chair somewhere...

Also, white people is meat.Jeneki wrote:(runs down the street) "WHITE MEAT IS PEOPLE!"
No sir. I didn't actually realize it was a pig product, there's rough times for pigs ahead.oli_lar wrote:I hope you are not dissing black pudding etc - second only to bacon in my favourite pig related products. I just ate one on my work lunch break and it was pretty good. Not as bad as all the sensationalism has made it out to be.

Re: Just drop the bomb and get it over with(The KFC Double Down)
After watching Morgan Spurlock's cool documentary "Super Size Me" at my local art movie house, it gave an insider's perspective of eating nothing but the "Golden Arches" fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for an entire month and the crazy antics that ensue & not to mention the extra weight gained as well. An interesting eye-opener film indeed with fast food factoids interspered throughout the entire film.
I was eating some breakfast at a McD's one fine morning and was casually glancing at the McD's Food Nuritional Values poster that comprise of all the food menu items sold at a typical McD's, it said something in big print about frying french fries causes them to develop some cancer causing ingredient. It was spelled acryamide or something like that...tried looking it up in my dictionary but the term wasn't listed. McD's says that when potatoes are fried, they naturally develop that cancer causing byproduct. Definitely major new news to me. But to those folks whom work at a McD's joint, this is already old hat news indeed.
Ordered a Japanese Big Mac food set and it tastes the same as if you were to eat one in the USA. The head honchos at the McD's headquarters have stated that all McD's resturants worldwide want the famous Big Mac sandwich to taste the same no matter where you buy/eat one. Plus if you "supersize" a Japanese McD's food set (instead of the American McD's "Combo Meal" deal), you don't get that much more food (despite the 200 to 300 yen extra shelled out) compared to supersizing a typical USA McD's combo meal.
Another cool California based hamburger joint worth checking out is "In & Out Burger". With it's headquarters based out of Southern California, it is a privately owned hamburger chain & isn't franchised whatsoever. The highly entertaining in-house produced "B TV" (short for "Burger TV") is worth a watch since each DVD is released monthly if you're an I&OB employee. All the lettering and prices on the menus & signs that you see at a typical I&OB joint are all done by hand in-house and not by computers...quite a rare sight to behold in today's computer assisted graphic design world. Now you know this little known secret.
---------------------
Fast food factoid regarding I&OB joint: ask to order a menu item not listed on the menu list and the casual I&OB customers will be asking what is that? Only the die-hard I&OB foodie loyalists know this insider info. Back in the day, it was possible to order an I&OB burger with up to 20 beef patties at a time. The current limit nowdays is five beef patties max on a typical I&OB burger if you want. Crazy and whole lot of calories if you were to ask me.

Re: Just drop the bomb and get it over with(The KFC Double Down)
While fast food restaurants take a lot of shit for being unhealthy, regular restaurants are far, far worse. There's a meal at a bbq place near me called "the Squealer". It's a full rack of ribs, a pound of pulled pork, half a smoked chicken, a pint of baked beans, a pint of mashed potatoes, and corn bread and the Challenge Burger at the Eagle Deli in Boston is far, far beyond anything a fast food chain could dream up.

Feedback will set you free.

I finally got around to trying this yesterday, and I thought it was pretty gross. I only ate about 1/4th of it.
