Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (November 2009)
Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
I was able to find one on Ebay by mailing all of the merchants. The problem is that they're starting to mark the original printing $15-20 higher if they have one.
You could also just look on Ebay for the 1.0.1 DLC card, they are currently going for $10-$20.

ok, now I have to purchase the Black Label, right?
According to this it's on the US Marketplace:

Is that correct?

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Yes, it's available in all marketplaces, though you have to resort to some trickery to find it. It's already been covered a couple times in this thread, and I can't recall how to find it at the moment, but the in-game option probably doesn't point to the correct place - you have to do it from the dashboard.
Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Yes, to download the easiest way is to hit Y on the main dashboard to go to game details, then move to downloads and you should see it.

Yes, but at least you won't have to cough up extra for Japanese points, as the DLC is region free as well.roker wrote:1200 points either way?

For anyone that still wants the DLC card with Futari, try jgamers.com
they have an ebay account, but go to their website to get it, BUT NOT WITHOUT EMAILING THEM FIRST!
That's how I got mine. Just thought I'd pass it on.

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Really loving this game. Most played shmup since Ikaruga for me and ESP II remains hardly played as a result.
However, despite the hours I've put in I still find that getting past the 3rd level is a hit an miss thing for me and I have to bomb on the boss or I can just forget it.
The question I have is how do you control rank? When practicing I put the rank up to 4 or 5 but it seems to me that when I get there on a normal run the game is way harder than that. Appreciate that the obvious answer is practice in the higher rank but I would rather know if it is possible to control the rank on each level. Dying doesn't seem to be too much of an option as the extends are quite difficult to get (save for the first one).
I play for score not survival.
Cheers.

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Rank is tied to your counter and maxes out at around 70K (I think) in 1.5.

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Well, when you hit 70k counter you go into something of an overheat mode. The jump from 69999 to 70000 is like double the bullet speed. You constantly generate points after 70k, like DDP max bomb or galuda overheat.
There's nothing you can do to intentionally lower your rank such that the benefits outweigh the costs, even if you never hit 70k in the entire run (probably most of us), bombing or dying will lower your stage counter which decreases the points you get from gems (not worth it). The only option is to just do the best you can as the game gets harder.

Just got Futari yesterday ...
debating if I should open it up because I'm still working on ESPG2
I really don't like to focus on multiple shmups at one time ...

I've put off buying Galuda for the same reason. I'm going to get it next month, but will probably hold off on opening it until I can atleast clear 1.5 Original. Personally, I'd leave it on the shelf until you get tired of Galuda.roker wrote:Just got Futari yesterday ...

I think I'll crack it open after I crack 100 mil on ESPG2.

After reading the first post of this thread and the MushiFutari FAQ in the Strategy forum, I have a much better understanding of the game. However:
is there anywhere that I can find an English version or a translation of the manual?

Ok, I know I have read something on here about high score tables in-game but cannot find it.
So the game doesn't save any of the scores that I enter my initials for after gameover ?

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Just go to the title screen of a version, like where it would say "insert coin" in an arcade, wait a few seconds and it should show up. Also shows when you end a run regardless of whether or not you made it onto the board.
Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Well, thats the thing. As soon as i back out of the game its gone..
Just changing game modes from arrange to 1.5 clears it...
Oh well...

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
It's probably the 'Today' vs 'all time' high score charts. I can't remember what button you have to hit to cycle them.
Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
What ?
There's a "All time" list ??
That would be awesome..

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
Just hit button 2, or bomb to see the All-time list at the hi-score screen.
You can see the screen if you hit the "Close" button on the main menu, which after hi-score shows the demo / attract sequences.

Think there's any chance of a best re-release in the future? It would be nice to have all of the content on the disc.

there's a good possibility that it'll get ported to the US 360 one day.twalden wrote:Think there's any chance of a best re-release in the future? It would be nice to have all of the content on the disc.

Don't know if this question has already been answered or not, but if i download the DLC on my US account, can I play it with my Japanese account and vice versa, since it is region free and all??? What about if it is not region-free like the DLC for Death Smiles???emphatic wrote:Yes, but at least you won't have to cough up extra for Japanese points, as the DLC is region free as well.roker wrote:1200 points either way?

Death Smiles is getting a best release next month with all the content on the disc. It would be cool if Futari had the same.

I was really enjoying 1.5 maniac, pretty nice score system. Got 12.9 mil in stage 1, then I pressed start in end stage bonus screen for try do more (I was having some ideas), this time the game freeze, after restart got E79 restarted again and got 3rl.
Fuck game!
Cool!
