Try this: at the start of stage 6, sing "hello my baby, hello my honey, hello my ragtime gal." If that doesn't work, try snapping yourself in the balls repeatedly with a rubber band.PsikyoPshumpPshooterP wrote:

It worked!try snapping yourself in the balls repeatedly with a rubber band.

GP, those translations were great, enjoyed the interviews a good deal and learned a lot of creative drivel.

Unfortunately, that only works if you have a "Ruby Mittens" DLC card, which was only included with first-print copies of the game and can't be obtained any other way.EOJ wrote:You have to snap your fingers THREE TIMES right before stage 6 starts.

Re: Espgaluda II
question about ranking up in arrange mode..
after you download the replay, do you go to intialize ranking in the options menu to activate it or is it already on when i play arrange mode? I put the rankingup to 4 and i did not get the achievement for playing ranked up in arrange mode..

Re: Espgaluda II
I meant to give ESPGaluda II the same treatment but never did. The gist of the story is really just Souma picking up where Shinra left off... mechanizing Seseri, and trying to capture the power of the Galuda.chempop wrote: GP, those translations were great, enjoyed the interviews a good deal and learned a lot of creative drivel.
Asagi is the only Galuda they made (from the machine in the original game). At the ceremony where they were celebrating their success, she murdered the king and escaped. Asagi Clones (end of stage 6) are all the failed attempts at making a Galuda.
Tsubame is the prince (stage 1 boss)
Janome is the princess (stage 2 boss)
Both attempts at turning them into galuda failed
Madara (stage 2 midboss & stage 4 boss): Went before Tsubame & Janome (to protect them) and in this failed attempt at turning him into a Galuda he lost an eye.

Note that you'll need to use the "next page / previous page" links only.
That explains the whole sex-changing thing. The second story is just new bad guys that found Seseri before she really died.

Is it just me, or is Omake mode really, really, REALLY easy?
(still incredibly fun, though, but I prefer Black Label mode with Seseri)

If you want to play for survival, forget about Omake! as it's just a score attack mode.
Re: Espgaluda II
This soundtrack is making me want to hook up a woofer and maybe some nicer speakers to the amp in my cab. The black label version of the stage 6 music is so good.

No, seriously—it's the flappy-looking thing at the end of stage 6. The two kids combine to turn into it after a little bit of dialogue. It puts a shield up if you use the barrier during its final pattern. It's impossible to miss.

Yes, you have to setup the music to ARRANGE-ALL or something like that.Special World wrote:Do I have to do something to set the soundtrack to play that cool-ass music from the trailer?

If you're playing Black Label it will be the default Stage 6 music, otherwise you have to go into sound options (from the root menu, not when you've already selected your game) and change the soundtrack to arrange all if you want to hear it in Arcade/XBOX 360/Omake!emphatic wrote:Yes, you have to setup the music to ARRANGE-ALL or something like that.Special World wrote:Do I have to do something to set the soundtrack to play that cool-ass music from the trailer?

ah well I guess I'm just not good enough to hear it yet. I assumed it was the original stage 2 music since those sound slightly similar to me and it was playing during stage 2 in the vid. Ok, Arrange is the freaking shit. After striking out in finding the fun in either Arcade or Black Label I finally came back around to playing Arrange today and I'm sitting at work now just dreaming of getting home to play it some more. It's like a hyperactive Ikaruga, but with so much more under the hood.
One question: Can you only enter Over mode when you run out of gems, with no way to trigger it at will?

Yeah, but if you can just toggle kakusei on and off to drain your gems quickly.8 1/2 wrote:One question: Can you only enter Over mode when you run out of gems, with no way to trigger it at will?
Re: Espgaluda II
Too fiddly for me. I spent a good deal of time gaining an understanding, but I find Arcade to be very tedious to practice, and it just doesn't grab me. Black Label is too easy on the otherhand, and the score system doesn't have the hooks to make me want to come back. I like aggressive shmups, and Arrange offers me a way to be more proactive about attacking and defending myself. Not to say the other modes are bad. They're very polished and I appreciate what Cave was going for, but they're just not for me.Special World wrote:man i cant even imagine people not liking arcade or black label, provided they have some sort of understanding of them
Thanks for the tip too Dmauro! That's such an obvious solution it passed right by me.

Question, teacher! How does one refill his bomb gauge in Omake mode? I've done it on accident several times and wish to know how to do it manually.dmauro wrote:If you want to play for survival, forget about Omake! as it's just a score attack mode.
Also, is there no way to enter Zesshikai mode in Omake?

Re: Espgaluda II
There is no zetsu, it plays quite a bit like more like the original ESPGaluda actually. To refill your bomb gauge you simply bring your gold ingot counter up to 1000 and it rolls over to 0 and gives you half your gauge back. The more you can do this the better because absorbing/canceling bullets while your bomb is charging is the best way to get your stage multiplier up. So you want lots of gold, but you also want to spend as little time in kakusei as possible since simply being in that mode drains your stage multiplier.Zweihander wrote:Question, teacher! If your bomb meter isn't full, every time you get 1,000 gold, it refills half your bomb gauge and resets the gold to zero.Zweihander wrote:Question, teacher! Re: Espgaluda II
OOOOOOOOOH. It all makes sense now, thanks! I'm guessing the number at the top is my stage multiplier? And how is that Z-mode spelled, for the other modes in the game? I've seen Zetsushikai and Zesshikai... Is it the former? Since I've seen some people here just called it "Zetsu" as well.dmauro wrote:To refill your bomb gauge you simply bring your gold ingot counter up to 1000 and it rolls over to 0 and gives you half your gauge back.
