Yeah I wasn't really sure where to put 7. That final boss came to my mind too.

I wanted to ask: Are all of the Mega Man games perfectly emulated in the Mega Man Anniversary collection? I have the same question regarding the Mega Man X Collection. Because I do have an SNES, and I could get Mega Man X, X2 and X3 for it. (Of course, that would leave out the rest of the Mega Man X games.)

Perfectly as far as I could tell, for both of them. Note: I had the MM Anniversary collection for PS2 and MMX collection for GameCube, for what it's worth.

I thought I read somewhere that the NES Mega Man games are using their Japanese PS1 versions for emulation (if that makes sense). I think because of this there may be some minor sound issues. I recall that Mega Man 6 uses a different intro song on the collection.

No. Mega Man 7 and 8 have some issues (ending cut out of 7, various issues with 8 like slowdown that wasn't in the original). 1-6 have sound issues. The collection also uses a terrible filter that's blurry and causes inconsistent graphics.

As far as the X Collection is concerned, there's a FAQ that details all the changes made. None of them are major, yet almost all of them are for the worse.

A lot of those 'changes' aren't actually changes. Then again, GameFAQs.

Most drastic difference is the D-Rex one, almost every single time it fires its main gun it'll freeze long enough for you to completely kill it off.

8's music also has problems. It doesn't begin at the right point. Not to mention large enemy explosions are LOUD.

Just get the PSX/Saturn version, it's better.

PSX one is better than the MMAC and very good, but I heard the Saturn is the best with a couple of extra optional bosses and more frames of animation.

The samples used for the Saturn's sequencer music are of higher quality as well. A good way to compare is to listent o the PSX intro stage underwater theme, and then compare it to the Saturn version. Richer sound overall IMO.

Tengu Man's music on the Saturn is also different (and IMO) better.
