But in all seriousness, you should probably just say that you don't like it or something instead of claiming they don't know anything about bullet designs. You say it like it's a fact when it is really just a matter of personal taste.

You're a real liar! This game sucks. You can't like Futari. It's 100% virtually impossible. No Americans can do that. Only Japan can do that. Cave disabled this function upon the game's release. This game should go straight into trash and never should played again. This is just a game that only pussies would fall for. How stupid! STUPID! STUPID!! STUUUPIIIIIIDDD!!!!

I just ordered this game today and will have it by the end of next week. I hope its worth the $80 I paid for it!! From reading here sounds like it should be well worth the coin.

Hey Rob, I was wondering how you you like this game. Just curious, since you critique the CAVE guys a lot.

I think it's one of their better efforts, even though it's still incredibly similar to DDP.

I have a question about Arrange leaderboards. I just set a new record, so I save my replay, then I say yes when asked if I want to get my ranking, it does that, then I get a new screen saying something about accessing rankings and singing into Xbox Live. I hit home to verify if I'm still connected, I am, so I say yes, then it gives me my ranking again, and takes me back to the same screen. After repeating this once more, I hit no when the screen about ranking access pops up again and when I go to the leaderboard, I notice that my score was reverted back to what it was previously.

Can anyone clarify me on this? My ability to read Japanese that isn't katakana is practically euroshmup-class. :(

I had a friend over today and let him try out Futari Novice (original mode). He had to credit feed it (!) and when he finished Larsa he asked me how much it'd cost me, then went "and that's it? It's way too short." He won't be invited to any of my shmup meets, that's a given.

Sorry to get OT again, but I think this is a contradiction in itself.
There is nothing like good design from an objective point of view, design is always something subjective. If I talk about how bad I think a design of a certain game is, it's already clear that it's just my opinion and that it apparently doesn't appeal to me. You don't have to put "Hey gayz, this is just an opinion. Don't you ever forget about it!!!!" under each and every post, the readers of your posts don't necessarily have to be retarded.
And of course it's possible to dislike Apple's design and say "Apple's design is horrible" and it would more or less equal to the sentence "I don't like Apple's design.".

Opinions.

While i get your point, some things are just more widely considered "good" than others.
I'll just leave this screenshot of brilliant webdesign here. ;)

Taste or not, there ARE just way better designs out there.
This is clearly bad design.
And once we establish a bad design choice we automatically create a hypothetical good one.

Let me be more clear then:
- I laugh when I see dinosaur, flaying mollusks and flaying Cnidarians shooting at me.
- Piss me off see in this game the same bullets cave used in one game more 10 years ago.
- The bosses explosion is ridiculous.
- The characters voices in pretty annoying.
- There is nothing special in 4 characters selectable in game, only shoot and laser.
- The score system seems be based in use the correct shooting in correct time like several others cave games.
- Slowdown is good but the game have too much and it is not fun.

In general the game seems have nothing special, and seems even be under cave pattern in any aspects. Then I want figure why too much hyper over it.
I hope you understand anything I written.

It's supposed to be a fantasy world, nothing wrong with blowing up dinosaurs.
third_strike wrote:Piss me off see in this game the same bullets cave used in one game more 10 years ago.
Oh no, they're still using the same explosions too! Sound the alarm! They still look fine and nobody really cares about it. This is just nitpicking.
third_strike wrote:The bosses explosion is ridiculous.
Ridiculous boss explosions are a good thing. :P
third_strike wrote:The characters voices in pretty annoying.
You got me there. But you can turn the voices off. :P
third_strike wrote:There is nothing special in 4 characters selectable in game, only shoot and laser.
You have not played nearly enough to come to that conclusion.
third_strike wrote:The score system seems be based in use the correct shooting in correct time like several others cave games.
No, it's not really like other Cave games, especially if you're referring to Original mode. Maniac mode is also entirely different.
third_strike wrote:Slowdown is good but the game have too much and it is not fun.
Yes it slows down often, this is just a matter of taste.
third_strike wrote:In general the game seems have nothing special, and seems even be under cave pattern in any aspects. Then I want figure why too much hyper over it.
You need to actually learn how the scoring works before you come to that conclusion. The shot patterns in Futari are some of the best I've ever seen.
