Videogame Make-A-Wish 2010

Post by UnscathedFlyingObject »

I'd really like to play all the awesome light gun games like Cobra: the Arcade, House of the Dead 4, and Virtua Cop 3 that haven't been graced with a console port yet. I just knew of Cobra: the Arcade not too long ago and it looks like a cool Time Crisis clone. I like Cobra and I like Time Crisis, so this game almost made me wet my fanboy pants.

It'd also be nice if Capcom and Konami made compilations of their downloadable games, so I'd actually bother buying them. I'm mostly interested in Mega Man 9, Contra Rebirth, and Castlevania Rebirth.

Last but not least, to developers, cut the filler out of your games. Get off your lazy asses and make more content instead of making us do tedious tasks and backtrack all day. Gamers notice if you want to shortchange them with tricks like those, which will just tarnish the reputation of your products.

Of course, all this stuff within 2010, which is why this is Videogame Make-A-Wish 2010.

are you asking us about our wish lists?

Well it may not sound like very computer game'ish wish but i want my own place away from the parental unit. This would in turn give me more time alone and thus way mroe time playing games. A HD TV would be nice too as i think im starting to miss out on all the lush new HD graphics.

more of a wants list than a wish list but i think its realistic

cobra the arcade is an awesome timecrisis clone with a twist, played it quite a bit in japan a few years back, well worth tracking down.

I want the following games:
- Soldier Blade Mk2: Image Fighters Jet (developed by Hudson, ex-Compile members, Irem and ex-Seibu Kaihatsu)
- and maybe Drakengard 1 remake for PS3
In an alternate universal, Soldier Blade II has already been crafted by Hudson Soft and Compile with proper tate this time around (c) PC Engine Fan X!
Sega tried and failed. Nintendo didn't even try. (c) Specineff

Planet Harriers on XBLA would be nice. A real remake of Resident Evil 2, running on the RE5 engine. A sequel to House of the Dead: Overkill. And of course the eternal number one fanciful wish: Shenmue III.

I'll add 2-Spicy to that list.

As for my wish: A 2D Castlevania in HD.

High budgets being spent on genre's that don't fit into Sports, racing and FPS/3rd perspective gun games.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Blargh @ RE5 engine. It would still be lots of fun though - not a replacement so much as a counterpart of the original.

They already tried spending more money on marketing than on actual games (Kreed, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., arguably Doom 3). It failed

Giga Wing 4 (Taito Type X2) - Go back to a yoko screen setup for this one. Get Takeshi Miura (from Razing Storm) & Masahiro Yuge to do BGM.

F.E.A.R. 3 (360/PS3/PC)

Doom 4: More enemies in an area at one time, please. Grabbing a key then having 8-12 imps/zombie soldiers/etc emerge is part of what makes real Doom more fun. Doom 3 is NOT exactly Doom, IMO - it's alright, but still disappoints in some ways.

Quake 5: Just what are Matthew Kane's "new orders"? If this comes out, pray that the 360 port isn't butchered with low framerates and slowdown.

DDP Daifukkatsu (360) - I'd guess it'd probably be Q3 or later with DFKBL coming soon.

Razing Storm (PS3) - Will probably happen.

After Burner Climax (PS3) - Let's cross our fingers and hope the rumor is true.

Virtua Cop: Triple Heat (PS3) - A compilation of all 3 VCs.

The Outfoxies (PSN/XBLA) - Online play is a must for this one. Add an 8-player Battle Royale mode where the last player standing takes the round.

Super Aleste 2 - Get former Compile members together on this one, along with the same BGM composer.

I say "Daioujou suru ga yoi" to region locks. Yes, it's about time that this lame practice dies a peaceful death.

The DDR mat could work well for the pedal, using the L & R arrows.

7th dragon western port?

It's a small wish, I know.

Here's my real wish: No more turret levels in video games. Ever. None in 2010 would be a start.
