Razer (known for PC gaming mice) reveals 360 controller @CES

Thought this was pretty cool until I read this part -- now it's pretty awesome:
The best feature is probably the adjustable analog sticks. Each stick has a dial that can adjust the tension to your liking. If you like it fast and loose (and who doesn't), set it that way. I like it firm and stiff (ooh), and there's that option as well.
Article states the pictured D-Pad isn't final, so hoping that gets a good change as well, but I'll probably grab one of these when they come out just to give it a shot

Razer tells us that they're looking at doing something similar to Sony's DualShock for their d-pad in the future.
...

The rest of the features listed seem fairly nice, however. Then again third-party pads, at least the sticks, are usually crap.

So.. where do you plug the headset in exactly?

The headphone goes in below the trim on the bottom edge. Its hard to see in that picture, but its there
Does anyone know what the hell the 2 extra bumper buttons are? Unless it was a reflection there seems to be 4 bumpers and 2 triggers. Is that how you tension the sticks?

Ehh just get a Saturn USB pad for that (or a HRAP with Seimitsu parts if you want a good controller for MAME).

I'll be watching this. I will say that my Lachesis gives me nothing but trouble though.

Really? My Lachesis is the best mouse I've ever used. It might be a pain to do initial config on, but once you have a setup you like it shouldn't be hard to use at all.

Any real pics yet? I like the 360 controller as it is. The analogue stick is nice and very well done. I think if it's too loose (like the blue hori controller), it's harder to use, and if it's too tight it might not be responsive enough for some games.

Nice that they put a decent price tag on it. I could easily see them jacking the price up to the $80-$100 range.

I have a Gravis NES stick that does this. Not even joking. Razer, get with the times, people.

A glance is enough to tell me its d-pad quite certainly sucks.

So, they're going to replace broken cross with...another broken cross. Those things are terrible. Is normal d-pad patented or what?

Nah, Nintendo own the patent for the cross-style d-pad without diagonals. I don't know who owns the patent to the disc-shaped d-pad, if anyone.

that d-pad looks horrible. I'm getting some nasty GP2X F200 flashbacks just looking at it.
