Just got my 19xx in the mail, and it has some graphics problems, was hoping someone here would just know what it was (and whether it's easy to fix or not...). Something's definitely rattling around loose in the game's case, but I'm still waiting on Amazon to get me my torx bits to open it up and see...
Basically a 10-20% strip of some of the background sprites seems to be corrupted... Ends up looking like horizontal stripes over the ocean... The same corruption shows up on the end of level screens...
Any chance this kind of problem is something simple to fix like one of the roms having popped out or something dopey like that?

Yes it could well be something simple like a ROM in an oxidised socket, unlikely to be "loose" tho. Its always wise to reseat all ROMs and any ribbon cables after you have ruled out power supply issues.
