Just a little clarification about my above post, even though it seems like it was understood.
Right now I am using my PS3 in 480p RGsB mode. That's RGB with sync on green.
I have to use an adapter to get 480i RGBS (not RGBHV as I said above) mode out of the PS2/3. For some reason the sync signals are different on interlaced and progressive modes.
I have read that a SCART cable will also work on a NTSC PS2. I think I should be able to connect it to this monitor via this cable.
I have tested it to see if I can use composite video for sync and it appears I can not. I will have to build or buy a sync stripper I suppose. I have a component cable that also has composite video attached, so I think I can use that along with the stripper.
Can the XM29 accept composite video for sync?
XM29 or XM29 Plus?

That's right, it kick-starts the fan if it stalls with about 10V.undamned wrote:Excellent work, man! I need to do something similar on a little Dell computer I modded (complains about missing fan on boot up). Just curious: what does the MCU do if RPMs fall below desired? Kick up the LM317 voltage?mojo wrote:I made it quiet

The MCU also monitors the fan's RPM to make sure it doesn't stall.

Dells are annoying like that. Some have an option in the BIOS to disable fan failure warnings, but most don't. Best avoided given the choice.
