My thermometer says it -10 celius right now. I live on the sixth floor and it's still morning so it will probably get a little warmer during the day, but i'm still happy that christmas vacation started yesterday so I don't have to leave my apartment

It's summer here. I live in Rio de Janeiro.

We get 40o Celsius here (104 Farenheit) regularly. A few weeks ago I saw a a thermometer showing 43C (110 Farenheit).

It's not nice, I can tell you.

But right now the skies are very cloudy, so it isn't that hot. It's probably about 32 Celsius.

Like 25 degrees Farenheit. It has been stupid cold here though, -5 Farenheit or -21 Celsius, plus the crazy wind chill downtown.

Talked to a guy in Anchorage, Alaska and on the day it was -5 here, it was 15 there. No way should Chicago ever be colder than Alaska.

It's been around 20 or so most days, down into the teens some (F). Today it's a balmy 33F though.

A week or so ago there was one day where it was 20F, but 40-50MPH winds. Now that felt cold!

We have currently (7:40pm) -11°C. That's about as cold as it usually gets here during winter, the max is about -15°C and the ultra-rare extreme would -20°C which was reached only once during the time I have spend here. The streets were VERY slippy today, could only move forward with 30km/h at 6:45 in the morning, accompanied by heavy snowfall & -8°C (I did some drifting on parking lots later in the day ). It's been at least three years since the last time winter started this abruptly. Until yesterday, I haven't seen a single snowflake.

Agreed. We get so used to the heat here, that anything below 70 F qualifies as "Total Whiteout Conditions".
