Are there scoring differences in Cyvern Plus?

I didn't even know there was a 'plus' mode/version. Can you unlock it or is it a separate release?

More 100k medals around, medals are worth double points (in the video the guy picks a 10k medal, it shows 10k in the screen but 20k is added to the score...I have no idea why), endgame bonus for spare lives, probably there are more stuff I'm unaware of. But in this version you can score much higher.

Also, 2nd loop only has 2 stages (stages 5 and 6), and there's a TLB (the game takes away all your spare lives before fighting him).

Bosses also show lifebars and rank seems way higher overall. He can get the red version of boss 1 on the first loop and suicide bullets are everywhere. Also, extends at every 2m instead of 1m?

I think that's the problem, I don't believe it was released, not wide-spread anyway. There's no rom of Plus anywhere if that's a good indication and I've never seen or heard of anyone else spotting it in arcade. A shame really, until now there was only a couple screenshots and the game does look very interesting (life-bars!).
