Can't get the stars out of my eyes, here. I'm really, really, really hoping CAVE has a heart and makes this region-free.

There's arrange mode for all three difficulties.

no, RGB from a 360 is 480i only. To get 240p you need VGA from a 360 and an Emotia to convert to 240p RGB. See this thread for pics and infos: http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.ph ... 9&start=30

Probably a really dumb question, but assuming this does get a region-free release, what happens with DLC (Futari 1.0, whatever else they come out with) for people with a US-region console?

Then those people will need to create a JP XBL account and buy JP MS point cards. Although I seriously doubt this game will be region free. Best-case scenario, if all goes well at TGS, we might see a US release of Mush Futari one year after the Japanese release.

Oh really? Can I ask how you know this? I was hoping this was the case, but haven't heard much about it.

Someone posted an arrange video where the player selects Maniac from the menu. I think it was Sinmoon's?

Then the cave preview video showed arrange Ultra, which kind of confirmed it.

Also, during the Famitsu 360 Midnight show weeks back, you can see the difficulty select menu when you pick Arrange.

Cave's recent implication that this might not necessarily be region locked, seems like sadism considering the odds of that actually happening. Either this is going to be the first region-free JP exclusive 360 title ever, or something just got lost in the translation.

Well, that's great news. I was worried it was gonna be for "experts only". Which I am not.

Anything with auto bombing is not made for experts.

Autobomb? Ah, that's weak. There's no strategy to that.

"don't get hit" is a pretty good strategy even with autobomb

Is there much of a difference between the graphics of ESP II, Futari, and DS on the PCBs? I was wondering, since they are going back in time with these, and i'm not sure what to expect by the time they get to ESP II.

Ketsui DS and DDP DFK have auto bombing but can be played for hardcore scoring.

I just noticed that. It should have been "( Japanese because then I can get Ketsui too. )".
Ahahaa.
It's kinda like "I accidentally the whole Hibachi. Is it safe?"

Anyway, I probably gonna buy a Jap Xbox 360. Because from looks of it, all of Cave's future ports will come to Xbox 360.

Augh, can't argue with that, I was thinking more along the lines of Mushi Arrange. Wasn't Ketsui DS's autobombing optional though?

But it's also nice to have imo, with the tiny screen and itty bitty d-pad...

Well since they have the hi-res versions like you see in DS on the 360 available, yeah, it's going to look a little better (if you're into that look) on the 360.
