CPS-2 Weirdness

Post by caldwert »

Alright, so I just had my father assist me in replacing the CPS-2 batteries on 2 games. So I fire one up, and it works fine. Then I fire up my Mars Matrix on my MVSU-4 25" cab using one of the jammaboards.com Jamma to MVS adapters. I always play my CPS-2 games like this and have no problems. So I turn the game on and nothing. I'm shitting myself now thinking oh crap we only have 45 minutes. Plug it into my Astro City and it fires right up. Any clues as to why all of a sudden this quit working on a machine it has worked its whole life on? I did switch motherboards though to one I've never used it on, possible problem there? Any help is much appreciated. I was sweating there for a few minutes thinking I'd killed one of my rarer boards.

Nevermind, flaky motherboard was the issue. Still very weird though.
