I've always wondered if Kaze ever used their designs to make a real table. I wouldn't mind having a real version of the Gladiator table from Last Gladiators.

So, does this mean that the PSX pro-pinball packs are good? I can't seem to find that DC one.

I believe that the Pro Pinball games are a far cry from LG and Necro. Worth playing but maybe not paying? I love the video pinball but after playing my buddy's Pro Pin games, I don't feel any need to go and buy them for myself.

Two more overlooked and underrated pinners are Power Rangers Pinball for PS1 and Pokemon Pinball for GBC.

I love Addiction Pinball. Great physics and table design. I love how one of the tables is based on Worms. Did Naxat make any pinball games for the Saturn? I haven't heard much about them lately. Did they go under? I was surprised that they made a Devil's Crush like game for SNES (Juka Crush).

Jaki Crush, the most evil game of the series and one that should be avoided if you think Necronomicon is Satanic. Good game though.

I know this topic is very old, but...

I just got True Pinball on Saturn, and I got surprised. First because it was developed by Digital Illusions (The guys behind the holy trilogy of pinball: Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies and Pinball Illusions).

And then because it's basically a port of Pinball Illusions with an extra table (A pretty good one actually) and a 3D point of view.

Very good game, even more if you are a fan of Pinball Illusions. It would be a killer if they went ahead and just had ported all the tables from Pinball Dreams and Fantasies too.

And now I got Last Gladiators.

It indeed is pretty realiastic, very smooth, crisp graphics and excellent design on the tables.

But did they choose to make the panel and info FLASH IN FRONT OF YOU ALL THE TIME? It hides what's happening behind and it's very annoying. I think I may get used to it after some time, but still feels kinda stupid.

Oh, and in my 2nd credit at the Warlock Table I activated all the rounds *and* last judgement. On my 2nd go, for a 1,921,503,540 score. Not too shabby, eh? :D

I probably should merge this with the existing digital pinball thread, but eh. :P

It's been awhile since I played True Pinball - from what I remember of it, it looked quite nice, but I found the ball speed to be a bit off. As for Last Gladiators, good game, though you should definitely try to get ahold of the Japan-only "Version 9.7" release (which makes some tweaks to better balance the tables) as well as Necronomicon, by the same guys and one less table but overall my favorite digital pinball game (no in-your-face view-blocking popups, anyways). If you haven't already that is, heh heh.

No, I don't, but I am already looking for it.

What's the differences in the 9.7 version? Did they at least get rid of the annoying pop-ups?

They could had done the pop-stuff in a more intelligente way. In the Gladiators table, I can't switch the lights properly in the top-left corner because I can't see them when there a huge block of messagem flashing "EXTRABALL LIT IS READY HERE" in front of them.

I'd have to double check to be sure, but if memory serves they're still there, unfortunately. Mainly what they did is mess with the physics a bit (i.e. it's tougher to hit the ramps on the first two tables, but easier to get to some tricky targets on the last two), and also include more high-score slots, as opposed to the single one per table from the original.

More high-score slots is a good idea, I found it weird to have only 1 slot per table.

Did they fix/change the nudge mechanics also?

The nudge doesn't seem to work. I cant choose to what direction I want to nudge, the ball usually don't go anywhere, or move to a random direction.

And you pretty much have to SLAM the table to tilt it. I've pressed the nudge like 20 times in a row and the table just went "Danger"

I'm god-awful when it comes to using the nudge feature, so I honestly couldn't tell you there, heh heh. If it really was that bad, though, I'm sure they addressed it.

Well, at least I never lose a ball due tilt. This happens a lot with me any pinball game that has a proper Nudge mechanics :D. On that point, Pinball Hall of Fame: The WIlliams Collection on the PS2 spoiled me, as that game has a *perfect* nudge mechanic. All other Pinball games should copy it from there.

I think it's time we merge this and the other Pinball thread. I do it or do you want to do it yourself? :D
