7) Look for a molex connector going down inside of cab beside the monitor (Disconnect it)
the sockets the bulb sits in are spring loaded, so you can just press one side in and that end of the bulb will just pop out. pull the other end out of the other socket and your good.

for number 7, i don't bother to do this. the wires going to the monitor are fairly long in mine, so i can just lift and rotate it. good advice on laying the cabinet on it's back, cause that monitor is one heavy SOB.

new astro city cabs fucking rule though for low res stuff. i love my cab :D .

edit: and i bought mine from matsu too. shipped to pennsylvania via NAVL without a hitch.

number 7 was required for me because the cable ties inside the cab wouldn't allow the monitor to rotate without undoing it.

My bulb is dead. Any UK bulbs that work in an astro?

the bulbs pretty common. it's just an F15T8. you should be able to grab a new one at most any hardware store.

Thanks guys, looking for a bulb and starter. Although if it were the starter wouldn't the bulb flicker?

No the lamp is more likely to flicker when the lamp is on the way out, it could well be your starter but I would change both.

Would the starters be in the same place as the bulbs (in the stores I mean)? I know I know, I've never bought these things before

not sure about UK, but i could not find anything like the starters in the cabs....even the guys at the stores had never seen them before....

they are a completely different design than the ones used here

its the screw in thing on the light ballast that looks like a fuse.....if you have another cab it will most likely have the same type of starter....swap that starter into the fixture with the non-working light and see if it works...that way you will know if its the bulb or the starter

i ended up stealing one out of one of my versus

Both cabs have the same problem.

Its not that bad though, my AWSD is far too bright that I'd rather it be off completely.
