spadgy wrote:Hurrah! Amazing news. Is that Chi-Ryu? He mentioned lending us the board, but I couldn't find him at the show...
Yeah, that's me. I'll need it back some point around the middle of September (since I may be temp swapping it for Daifukkatsu - a game I totally managed to not play at the show :{), so just hassle Tom to get it to you as soon as possible :P
Smraedis wrote:Chi-Ryu seemed to spend most of his time in the other room with the DDR machines, I said hi to him when I was going home, also thanks to him for bringing such good games.
Tell me about it... Saturday was spent dealing with my poorly DDR cabinet (ended up temp chucking a PC with Stepmania into it to get it running and using the PCB on someone elses machine, but that took away several hours of my life that day) and Sunday replacing the power supply, then helping chassis swap someone else's machine! I got to play about 3 games of non-DDR total all weekend, one of which was on DeathSmiles (=my own PCB :P). I did manage to get my Flying Shark PCB out onto the floor for Sunday though, and was very pleased to see 50 or so credits gone when I popped back mid-afternoon :D

For lulz, I also entered the DDR tournament and came almost last :P

Nice to meet you Smraedis, shame it was for so short a time. For the others, sorry I didn't catch up with you... maybe one day at Casino next time I'm in town :D

Shit, mid September. I thought I had more time with it than that. :(

I'm absolutely loving it at the moment, trying to clear it with all the characters before properly pushing for score (done three out of the five so far). I'm going to miss this game when it's gone - thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to play it Chi, you're a true gent and it's a knockout game.
Casino guys, you'll get it for at least a full month at least, promise!

How I wish, how I wish I were there.
I'm just a single lost soul gaming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Scoring over the same old round.
What have I found? The same old scores.
Wish I were there.
