Finally beat the first loop, with crappy chain.

Image

Ravid - 136,895,080 - A-E - 5 - 1012

Note that I achieved this on a ps2 emulator, which afaik my PC can run without additional slowdown (Mushihimesama on the other hand is a different matter). If you don't want to accept it for that reason then I suppose it's your prerogative.

So 100M is a "first step" for this game as well as DDP?

Personally, I wouldn't say that. It seems rather to be a 2:5 ratio between DDP and DOJ (i.e., 40 million in DDP ≈ 100 million in DOJ). Which is to say, 100M is not a first step for DDP, by far. First 1-ALL usually happens between 40 and 60 million.

Certainly. As for DDP I would definitely agree with that 40m-border, it took me exactly as long to get 40 (49 actually) mio in DDP as for 100 in DOJ.

Not sure how you could call 100m a "first step" in DDP, I'm more likely to reach Hibachi before scoring 100m as I don't like chaining in DDP nearly as much as DOJ

it's way easier to get 100M in DOJ, you only have to perform the first 2 chains, in DDP you need almost the first 5 chains.

Ravid - 165,747,740 - A-E - 5 - 2107

Guess where the extra points came from. No clear this time due to three (!) deaths on stage 4 boss. No pic either.

Here is a pic to celebrate the 200m milestone. The rank in this game is monstrous, if I play well up to the stage 3 boss (chaining, collecting all bees) it hurts me. On the other hand, this run came out of two stupid deaths on stage 4. The overall effect is that I score similarly regardless of where I die, so I suppose it's pretty well balanced in that regard.

Last score before I switch to an actual physical PS2 and a TV :D

Image

Ravid - 279,240,360 - A-E - 5 - 2291

All came together this run. Except for missing the 1up and being so wracked with nerves by the stage 5 boss that I couldn't dodge anything worth a damn.

Doesn't move me up a place, but thought I'd post it anyway since it's a 300mil loop score. Second loop is hard.

Yes, this is true, but the game's replay value is phenomenal.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of stage five, perhaps. :?

TOM - 82,906,460 - B-L - 1769 Hit

Cannon's a bitch. I think I keep losing because I'm not waiting at the corner to point blank it; as soon as I get up there, I get ganked in the mouth by a tasty, closed pattern. I've lost at least twice now with tons of bombs in stock because I'm silly and I want the 1up :)

I did say I was going to wait until I broke 100 million, but whatever.

Also, I should never have stopped playing for score. I always get the farthest with the most lives when I'm pulling into the Stage 2 boss with a kadrillion points and 4 extra stock. Quick rape of the boss, then it's off to 3 to get buttrocked by the huge rank spike from burning seven or eight hypers in 2 :)

i was able to get to second loop on pcb version with only 100+ mil after stage 5 boss. probably because i grab all the bees in all stages, and dying alot on stage 4 so the rank is quite low in stage 5.

TOM - 99,442,170 - A-E - 1-4 - 1942 Hit

...

I'm done playing this game for some time. I'm going to play some Gunbird 2 and Under Defeat, instead.

Guess how many times I randomly suicided on 1-4.

It starts with t, ends in wice.

For.

No.

Reason.

EDIT: Though I say that, I'm probably going to have a B-L score in, like, two days.

I'm improving. Now if I just could get that second extend and the cannon-extend.

Edit: IMPROVING!
SAS - 28,266,310 - A-E - 1-4 - 761 Hit

I had one bomb in stock before I died. FFFFFFF.

Nice =D Good improvement!

This reminds me. I still haven't posted my 99.8M B-L score that I got right after the 99.4M A-E score >.>

I hope you keep playing =) (Unlike me, quitting for months at a time...)

2-ALL? Not anytime soon. :)
But I've gotten some 2nd round experience lately in Black Label. I guess I can try Master Version again.

6. malik11 - 282,338,030 - A-E - 1-5 - 2304 Hit
The score table is not the same as my old one because this was done on Xbox 360, rather than PS2.

Stage five went pretty well, for once. I was able to chain from the start of the stage, up until shortly after the item carrier containing a bomb appears, when I got smoked by a fairly wussy attack. This is a bit of a shame because it seems like chaining is not very hard for a little while after that point. Also, I started stage five with only one hyper.

it seems that my team mate PEY did not report his improvement:

AST-PEY - 831,990,100 - A-L - 2-3 - 2981 hits
Played on PS2.

And incidentally we just released the video: LINK
