Ok... this is the real news from E3:

I'm not Telltale's biggest fan in the world, but a new Monkey Island is something I thought I'd never experience... and it's coming out next month? Fucking awesome.

Then DeathSpank might be up your alley. DeathSpank: The game by Ron Gilbert That's Not Going To Be Episodic Anymore. And Also Lets You Kill Guys With A Plague of Chickens.
You can pre-order the entire season for 35 bucks; doing so also nets you a physical disc with cover. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.UnscathedFlyingObject wrote:I'm a fan of great adventure games, but I refuse to support downloadable stuff. Especially episodic downloadable stuff, which is a bigger rip-off.

Great news indeed.
I don't have a decent pc so I'm going to have to go the wii route on this. This worries me a bit. I believe there is a file size limit of 40mb for wii ware titles. This may hinder a decent port and result in low quality sound and low res blurry textures. I wasn't terribly pleased with how the wii port of sam and max season 1 turned out. It had terribly low res textures and some lines were cut and even that was on a disc.
I'm more excited about Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition. The fact you can jump back and forth between classic and modern graphic styles on the fly is fantastic.
